Hello there mylotters!
I am in big dilemma right now!! It's been two days that I am unable to log in to my laptop! I forgot the password and had no idea what it was! It's a ASUS laptop with windows 8.. I've been so tired googling and trying everything that I can to be able to log in the computer and its stressing me out now! Huhuhu I think this is what I get for not writing down the password! Does anyone here knows how to reset the password? How can I be able to log in the computer since I forgot my password?
Any help is appreciated

Windows 8 is somewhat different because it is still new, but you can try old ideas and find out if they still work.
Start the laptop
Hit f8 before the window logo appear
choose SAFE MODE from menu
Sign in as Administrator
Go to START --- CONTROL PANEL --- USER ACCOUNTS
choose the username you get there and you will get some choices including the removing password, chooce it.
After this restart normally without password.
PS
If you have any other way to get into as Administrator, then you can still do it.

It's windows password, the one that when you turn on your laptop and requires a password in the password box
