Why My Lap Is Silent While Connecting Internet?????

Haii..My apple lap top got it's sound back.One of my friends helped me to do that.But when I connect to internet through net setter,my lap will be silent every time.Then I tried to connect with my college's wifi.On that time,it's sound is working.Then I understood that the problem is of because net setter.Not because of connecting to internet.What to do????Did you have seen this problem anywhere?? How it could be solved??? Please help me..

So you are saying that your computer is not making a tone to let you know that it is connected to the internet. I would think that the reason that this is happening to you would be something that has to do with the settings that you have set for your computer. The reason that I would think that this is the case is because of the fact that none of the laptops that I've ever known will make any kind of a sound at all when it connects to the internet. The only time that I remember hearing a sound when a computer connects to the internet was way back when everyone had dial up internet.

when I was using internet before formatting in my laptop,It was just perfect.and I could to hear the sound while connecting to it and call incoming and outgoing.Now I don't understand that what happened to it.When I go for other small jobs by signing my chat windows,if the sound is there,I could to hear the notification sound and come back to it.Thank you..

i don't have any experience like you...,but i prefer you to go to apple service may be they can solve your problem.
