hey guys, i have a bleak memory of my first flight experience but i still remember how i used to see flights flying over my head and wished if I could commute using the same. But being from a middle class family i thought this will always remain a dream for me.
i remember that 8 years back, my dad gave me and our whole family a surprise when he said that we would be moving to a place for a trip and that too via a flight, we all were so much excited and shouted our heart out that day. We all started to frame various thoughts in our minds. Finally after few days we all boarded the flight properly and it was an amazing experience. to top it, there were very few people inside the flight and we were all amazed by seeing the view outside the flight. Since then i have been flying very often and special thanks to my dad for giving me such beautiful memories.
What r your thoughts about this guys? How was your first flight experience? Please do share your thoughts!

I had my first flight journey at the age of four.I was born in the middle east and it was my first travel to India.I was excited about the whole thing.I had seen planes in cartoons and in movies. But never did i go to an airport or be in aeroplane.I was excited to see the big airport and the things i could lay my hands though, though my dad did not allow to buy anything citing the cost. And then the security checks and walking with my parents to different terminals.Air India used to give toys for kids at that point of time and it was certainly exciting for a 4 year old.I sat with my parents. And during the 3 hour journey they gave us starters and meals and i absolutely loved it though i do not remember.I loved the plastic forks and spoons and the ketchup.Anyways, i was grounded to the seat and was not allowed to move around.I wanted to explore this whole plane.Plus another source of excitement was the earphones.I never knew what to say about it and went onto show how others are using it to airhostess. She taught what it is and how to use it.I loved listening to songs and turning on the different stations provided. There were many people in flight mostly Indians.Great to hear about your experience. Thanks!

Good my first experience was on 1975 the airplane are not as big today. I don't like air pocket and as I go along to date I hardly even feel we already arrived on the airport of destination Pilots are becoming expert. Yeah it is very nice to see the clouds forming figures on the sky and so as the beautiful scenery below seen when about to depart and so as to land.

Thanks a ton for sharing your valuable response. Well i am glad to hear that u had traveling in the air long back and i know the situation would have been different then. Anyways as u had mentioned, the scene outside the flight is something to watch out for as it is very rare to catch as we hardly get to see hear on land.

I grew up an army brat so we were constantly moving -- overseas, back to the States, overseas again.
Back in 1960, my father was already in Germany and my mother and us kids were joining him. We flew on the last prop plane to fly transatlantic. It was all jets after that. That flight was out of NY and it took 27 HOURS to fly to Frankfurt! Only one stopover early on in Newfoundland. Omigod! We were all sooooo sick, we couldn't stand up. It was miserable, mostly because it was so long.
Three years later, we flew back to the States in one of those fancy new jets. It only took seven hours!
I used to like to fly, but now it's a hassle with the TSA regulations and security measures. I understand that it's necessary and I have no problem complying, but it's just not fun anymore.

Thanks a ton for sharing your valuable response. Well i can understand your situation very well and i know it is not fun for u now but still i am glad to hear that u had experienced your first flight experience at such an early age and i know the situation would have been different then. It is indeed tiring and exhausting to sit for 27 hours and i know u must have felt terrible at that time.

It was fun to ride a plane for the first time, only thing that scares me is air packets when the plane suddenly shakes up and down for some time then it vanishes That's it. Happy mylotting

Thanks a ton for sharing your valuable response. Well i can understand your situation very well and even i get scared when the flight shakes mid way in the air due to the weather imbalances. I see many people's heart pump heavily due to this and i know even u experience the same. other than that, a first time flight experience is always memorable for a newcomer.

I was alone on my first flight (atleast that which I could cherish and remember well compared to when I was still 6y/o)and was my first time to go to a foreign land. I loved the take-off, it made my heart jump on excitement and I was always eager to hear the first bell sound that puts the seatbelt 'off' sign. Until now, "take-offs" would always be one of my favorites!

Thanks a ton for sharing your valuable response. Yes u are absolutely right, traveling alone is not only a daring task but an all in all a different experience as well as u would be having all strangers and a different environment around yourself. Yes u are right, take offs are always fun to experience as it is like sitting over a roller coaster. ha ha ha.

I was born in Japan. My first flight experience was when I was just 10 months old. And we came home in the Philippines because my grandfather had a stroke. So, basically, I have no recollection of that incident. A few weeks after, we went to my mom's hometown to visit my other grandparents.
I remember my uncle told me that he once "borrowed" me from my mom so that I could spend sometime with my maternal grandmother in the province. Still, I could not remember that.
I think the next flight experience was when I was about 7 years old. It was Summer and the family and I went to visit my mom's hometown for a week's vacation. Being old enough to understand how it was, I was excited! In a child's eyes, seeing the clouds almost within your reach was ecstatic!

Thanks a ton for sharing your valuable response. Well i can understand our situation very well and i know u must not be having much memories of your first flight experiences as u had traveled very urgently. But still i am glad to hear that u got the feel of your first flight experience at the age of 7 when u could see the clouds and the beautiful scene outside the flight.

I don't remember anything, because I was about 2 or 3 when my family travelled from Europe to Morocco, where my father had a job. The first one I remember was about 6 years ago, I think, when I travelled to Egypt. I loved everything about the flight. I know lots of people hate flying, but I love it. I love the adrenaline rush I get when the plane sets off, it's like a rollercoaster, and I love rollercoasters! :) And I liked how beautiful the sky or the grouind's view looked from the windows, and how it looked like when we were flying between clouds.

Thanks a ton for sharing your valuable response. Well i can understand your situation very well and it would be tough to recall your memories when u were so small. Anyways as u had mentioned even i love the adrenaline rush when the flight takes off and it feels like traveling over a roller coaster. The ambience outside the flight is just amazing to look out and to devour.

I was terrified. There was a storm on my first flight. I thought they are going to cancel it but no. While on the air, there were lots of turbulence and the shaking made me sick. I was praying the whole 1 hour of my flight and called all the saints I know.

Thanks a ton for sharing your valuable response. Well i can understand your situation very well and i know u must be terrified with the very thought of the storm outside. I wish if the flights are delayed when the weather is not right as it is very risky to travel airways during such a weather. i know anyone at your place would have reacted the same.
