I live just outside of Boston, MA and they are saying we are in for a huge snowstorm...again! This one is supposed to last until the end of the week and I'm just not up to more snow again. It's very pretty while it's falling but that's it. Not that I go anywhere but it looks like we're really going to be snowed in this week. We have been lucky this year and have not lost power during the couple of storms we've had. I think if this is as bad as they say we will lose power this time. Are you going to be getting a snowstorm? How has your winter been so far as far as snow is concerned?

It is just a white out out there this morning. It's the most snow I've seen all winter and they say it's going to last for days. I just worry about losing power which hasn't happened yet this year but is bound to during this storm. The snow is very heavy!

I told you a day or two ago that you would be getting this storm....I even told you to get your stuff together and prepare for it. We here in Cleveland just missed it but the southern part mostly of Ohio got it and it was going eastward. They talked about this all week on the news.

Think about it...March comes in like a lion...out like a lamb. Maybe this will be the lion, haha, and things will get brighter now. I know this weekend is suppose to be warmer here so let's still "think spring!" and those good old summer days.

It doesn't snow here in the Philippines, although many people here would love that to happen. There were news before that we were supposed to experience snow but it didn't occur. A lot of people got too excited for that, especially the kids. I understand that snow can cause a lot of troubles, especially here in a country where we are not ready for it since we haven't experienced it, but it would still be cool if snow occurred here. Not a snow storm, that sounds bad. By the way, take care out there.

The weather seems to be weird everywhere you turn these days.
For example, yesterday was the sunniest and warmest day in Cumbria (a county in England) so far this year at a heady 11°C but today it was half that.
Next week (we're told) we're in for more frost and MAYBE snow. Cumbria was lucky the last time snow was forecast as it tended to hit the North East but, you're right, it's great to look at, a pain to go out in.
Stay warm my friend!

I live just a little northwest of Pittsburgh, and we got 11 inches overnight last night. Roads were horrendous this morning, but the temperature went up to almost 40, and now the roads are clear and dry, and more than half of what was on my deck is melted. It will all be gone very soon. Just hang on....spring is on the way.

I have to say that we have been extremely lucky this winter, we have had only one big snowfall which lasted just over a week, and that's it, it's quite mild here. Today I smelt for the first time the smell of freshly cut grass, and Spring was definitely in the air. I hope it's not too severe for you my friend.

Lots and lots and lots of it. We are going to have floods in the spring and will have to sandbag the d%kes (you know those big banks made of sandbags that prevent waters from coming over). A couple of days ago, we thought it was over and then the blizzard hit. I was able to shovel a bit of the sidewalk and my friend phoned and told me that I should not do it as the snow was quite heavy and the boys from our schools would do it. Thankfully they did. Our whole neighborhood lost power and it was restored in a couple of hours.
Snow, snow, and more snow. I can hardly wait until it melts and spring will come again.

It sure was. I do not like shoveling as here the snow comes back and I feel as if I am in a perpetual shoveling cycle. It is all right when the snow first start, but near the end of the season it is monotonous and we have to have the sidewalks clear or we will not get any mail. It has not come from a slot in the computer or through a slot below the tvs yet.

I like snow. If you're not going out in it, you should be able to just inside and admire the beautiful view of the snow-covered landscape from your window instead of getting upset about it snowing again.
This is the North. We get snowstorms. That's part of the charm of being in a northern climate with a real winter.

It may be time to consider moving, then.
I came back to the North, because I am not a warm climate sort of person. I couldn't handle being in Florida, and I was thrilled to escape. However, I know that some people just don't do as well in northern climates.

I live in Oregon, and where i live in Oregon, we just don't get that much snow, or we don't get anything at all. We only had an inch of snow this winter, and I can certainly live with that. We have been having rain and in the 40"s. but now the sun has come out and it is almost 5;00 pm. I was able to get out and do my daily walk with my dogs and it started to rain, but I managed to get it done, and then it stopped, go figure. I used to live in Northern Indiana, and we would get lots of snow, and I hated it. My daugher lives in Iowa, and they have had a lot of snow recently as well, so she is certainly ready for spring. Just stay inside and keep warm. and don't try to drive in it. Spring will be here soon enough. Take care!

As you might remember, from answering one of my discussions, we are having much better weather than you guys out in the east.
We do get snow here. And like you, I like looking at it. Specially at night when it's so bright and peaceful-looking. But then you have to drive on it. Or shovel to get out of the garage.
I can't wait for spring!
Keep safe!

We got 3 inches of snow yesterday and the sun shines today so it may melt.
Be ready for the storm by getting your vehicles out of your driveways and things like tha if you can. The best offense is a good defense right? I hope it doesn't get bad th ere for you, best of luck.

This is when I'm happy that I don't drive and don't have to worry about where to park or shoveling out a car. I feel bad for all those people outside my window in the parking lot all trying to get shoveled out! I used to drive and have a car and went through it all.

I saw that on cnn. They have been reporting all day that a big storm is on the way to the east coast usa. Stay inside and safe there.
