Okay, I've been out of school for almost ten years now so it's time for me to think about giving up my old prom dresses. They are in great shape and I would love for someone else to be able to use them again. I'd also LOVE to get some of the hundreds of dollars back that I spent on them. Anyone have any suggestions for me??

You could try putting them on crags list, or in the newspaper..
Or you can find a place to donate them to. so that someone that would not be able to go because they can not afford one can go.
Where i live their is a church that asks for anyone that has any prom dresses to please donate them...and at prom time they help anyone that needs one that can not afford one so that they can go.

I've been trying to sell them on craigslist for quite a while and have generated very little interest. Ironically enough, shortly after I posted this I came across a great opportunity. I live very close to a military base and they are collecting gowns to swap or just donate for military balls and kids that don't have money for nice prom dresses. I think I'm going to pick out the dresses that are very prom-like and couldn't be worn for anything but and donate those ones. The others I'll hold onto for a bit longer to see if anyone shows any interest.

You can out it up on ebay. There are a lot of pre-loved clothes being sold there. Try posting it there. You might just be able to sell it. You can even sell other of your old stuff there. That would be a great income earner, too.

What I could tell is that you try it selling online. I haven't tried selling at amazon.com though but what I had tried is a local online site here in our country. I am sure you will be able to find a buyer and have a good deal. :)
