EHS(or HSE in some county) is about preventing environment prollution, keeping others healthy and safe. It is new in China, bringing in just about 10 years or more and only big companies implement EHS regulatons. And ISC (Institude for Sustainable Communicities) has help to build two training centers to cultivate EHSers. I do know some friends devoted in implementing EHS regulations. But these EHSers is not always welcome. Which brings me two questions. See as follows:
Q1 How is EHS look like in you place?
Q2 I want to know more about EHS. Whsre shall I find these information? Is any forum or Bulltin Broad System ? Any website would be helpfull.

Hi,
In our place it is called ECC, short for environmental compliance certificate. It is a set of rules put down by the government to observe when implementing a new project, big ones at that. Its sole purpose is to preserve the condition of the surroundings as much as possible, leaving the natural layout of the land, the plants and all other things there before the establishment began. It also make it possible to mitigate the possible pollutants that may be emitted once the establishment starts operation, wastewater disposal, smoke emission control, sound and vibrations are taken into considerations.

Yes, precisely, EIA is part of the ECC. It is a lengthy process, one of them is to generate community-based reactions by a series of consultations and questionnaires. The other is to gather data scientifically by people trained to do so using sophisticated equipments. I, for one, is a trained SCUBA Diver for the purpose of underwater damage assessments, data gathering before, during and after project implementation.
