Hello Friends :)
Well, Just recently Sony have launched new phone Xperia Z. Well, I guess many of you should have known that it is already getting attention because it is totally dust proof and water proof phone !!! But surely a costly one.
Lol.. I am not going to discuss about its feature here. We friends were discussing about this phone today. Well it is water proof. But do you think anyone can try it out?
I mean yes company is saying that it is water proof, in fact they are giving demo of it during launch. But as it is too much costly I wonder if someone going to try it out. I mean even if it rains I will surely try to save the phone even after hearing the facts. I mean too costly to try out such things... What you say?

there is a technique for that.. before you buy a brand new tell to the saleslady that after you buying that phone you will try to dip it in water so that you can prove to yourself that its a waterproof. dont get much worry after buying it they give a warranty replacement for given time.
they say its water proof so that you need to test it. you have a big reason why they need to replace a new one if somethings bad happen.. I like to try it out :D

HA ha... Yes that's for sure.
But I am not saying in that case. I mean to say that even mentally someone will not going to try out such thing. I mean as it is too costly phone better keep it in dry place. I don't know about others but personally I would surely not going to try such thing if I have this phone.

Ha ha..
Exactly. Surely it is risky to try out such thing. Even it is water proof why to take risk and check it. It is water proof and that's good feature to have if by chance it get wet it will be saved. But putting it underwater just to try out, it sounds like crazy.

im afraid of that too.
i mean I say it only because for the warranty replacement receipt hehe :D
If I have that phone maybe I dont do it also because if you success on what you are planning to do, maybe only a little damage on your phone from now but its annoying when it took so long before you see its real damage :D
plus it is shocking if you see a plant inside your phone when you try to open it.

They only say it's water proof because they knew nobody would underwater and make a phone call.

Hi..
I don't know about calling function, but many people have already taken this phone to underwater during the swimming and taken the photos. That's what I have read in news. And phone is having no problem in that too..
Well, they can do anything, if i own such costly phone I am surely not going to try out such risky things with it.

Sure I would not go for such a costly phone, because I never have a need for a phone with such features. Infact it would not cost much to take care of our phone from dust and water. So I feel it is a waste to spend a huge money on such things.

haha.. You are right. It is more easy to take care of our phone from dust and water than daring to spend such a huge money for a just 'in case of' need.

Hello..
Actually this phone is amazing.. But yes price is surely too high.. About this discussion I was trying to tell that even this phone have water proof feature, no body dare to try it out because of such high price. Even if it is rain I would surely like to put in in dry place instead of let it get wet.. he he..

Hi bro
I guess, you and friends should start collecting some money and buy two of those handsets... and then, throw one in the Arabian Sea and dump the other in the Desert at Rajasthan. Then try calling both the numbers and if they ring... you have proof... and if not, sue the Sony Guys and I am sure you would get a much higher compensation... (so worth the investment)

That is one reason I did never try to know about the XPeria Series from Sony... I neither have a handset which is smart enough nor do I need that 1500 INR handset of mine to be water proof or even dust proof. And the best thing is that there are so many models in the economy range that I can choose anyone and throw it into the sea after a year or maybe some more But if I had a 40K INR one, I would think at least 40K times before I think of buying a new model

Ha ha.. Anyone would think the same thing.
You are quite right on that. Even small budget phones now come with good features and latest android versions same as branded one... Those big companies are just selling their mobiles in more price just because of their brand, otherwise actual cost should be much more less than this one.

Well, if i am the buyer I will count it as an extra bonus feature. So I can avoid unavoidable situation where my phone get wet by water or rain. I will surely not going to put in test with any intentions. It is also dust proof so its not meaning i will try it buy keeping it in dust and all that.

Sounds nice. :D I have never heard of this phone as people are all over IPhone and Samsung note here in the country. Probably this is a good one, i think but then i sure think that there are people who would love to try this phone for whatever it is promising. That would be nice never to care for your phone whether it will be wet or something. hehe :D i think the phone looked nice on sony's website.

Hello Anand,
If you want to play in rain with your mobile phone then you have to pay extra money. In fact money is the problem else all will ready to buy such phones and enjoy the facilities.
I really don’t have any plan to buy a mobile phone so no question of such a costly one

Hi Sree
Its true that with extra money we can have that feature and that phone too. But here I mean to say that even somehow I able to get that phone I will surely not risk it life by putting it in water or playing in rain with that phone.... just because of its high cost.
Even I don't have any plan to buy such costly phone, and also I recently got my new phone so no plan to go for new one in near future.

Hello my friend.
Well one should be actually able to sue Sony if they buy the new phone, test it in water and fails as the product is not up to specs, right ? Just a thought.
Anyway the idea is quite good - just think about it, you would be able to take underwater photos (such a camera is at least 200 euros at the moment) and also you won't worry about leaving it on the beach while taking a bath with friends or loved one.
I don't really know how it could be dust proof, as dust will stick to anything, even pronto "protected" surfaces.
Have a good day.

HA HA ... That's for sure. I mean they are offering water proof and dust proof phone and if phone don't able to work in these conditions then surely they can face worse.
But yeah it is good technology to have. and yes I can't imagine about taking under water photos!! Just amazing. But phone is too costly, so I wonder if someone will try to take it underwater, lol, I mean it will be risky to put phone's life in danger.

I would preffer a Nokia 1100, it's anti everything! You can throw it under a train and nothing's going to happen to it .
Well, seriously I would never buy those new phones (at least for now). I spend half of my day on my computer, I don't want to spend the rest looking at my phone, life's too short. Also it's not advisable to go out with expensive phones where I live, too many thieves out there

Ha ha that kind of phones are the best.
Well, its like people's choice. Everybody should go for phone as per their comfort zone and choice. But yes spending too much time behind all this is really not good. Healthwise and other way too. Time is expensive so better not waste it more behind all this.

Waterproof and dust proof?
I suggest you to keep your ordinary phone in a poly bag and tie it up tight by a thread. If your phone still catch moisture dry it putting it on a pan on gas stove. I hope your phone would remain dry and dust proof for ever. cheers.

HA ha ha
And what if phone rings during the rain..
Well, there may be many ways to protect the phone. I have also heard that we can have such coating to any ordinary phone so that it can be water proof. But surely don't have more idea about it. So no way to go for such high cost phone.. TOO Costly, around 40000 Rs.

Hi,
I have very simple phone with very few functions receiving and making calls and FM. I had one costly phone but I give it to my wife and I bought simple phone for me. But If I buy some waterproof or dust proof phone I would not try it if it is wateproof or dust proof.

Hi Apk ! That would so sophisticating ! That is so good to the place where it always rain , it 's a need for them and also to very busy people , where sometimes their moves can't be control , because always in hurry , coffee spills in the phone and to those gadgets lovers , am sure this is heaven for them but for me i guess during this hard times it is not practical to have it, i need to be contented with this touch screen though i don't like it that much because i loved the old one. So easy to use and not that sensitive not like the touch screen.

So one have to save lot before going for it.

I bought the cheapest phone a couple of years ago, just to call a taxi from the Metro to take me home. It has worked alright for what I need it. It has a prepaid card, no music, no taking pictures and I would not dare throw it into the toilet as I have heard that some youngsters do. I phone crazy friend of mine forgot her fancy phone at my home foe a night and I almost became insane until the thing went off. She had about 20 calls in one night. JEEZZ!!!

Personally I love to have phone with some good apps. so I am having one cheap android phone and I am quite happy with it. This phone is surely having some great features but still its price is high for me for now.

That's so true. Even it is unaffordable to me too for now.. but yes phone is surely good as it is having lots of great features. And yes water proof and dust proof features can be really good in certain cases. Let's see reviews of the phone so that we can understand about it more. I am sure it will get positive reviews from many.

Cool! Water proof and dust proof phone is indeed a cool thing. My phone is too dusty co's I seldom use it or people at my house seldom use it. When mobile phone arrives, the regular phone was kind of being left out. I am actually thinking of cutting out our telephone to cost cut things I don't use it anyway, I took it because of the internet connection. I am thinking of twitching connection and provider.
Well, people nowadays tries everything that is on specially when they have the money to pay for it. They'll just dispose it when they don't like it or get tired of it.

That's the common trend in these days now. All people love to go for new phone but when they get tried of it they disposed it and go for new one. I have seen the same with many people. Well, this new phone is surely looks amazing but right now price is too high to afford.
