Buying To Try

I have this classmate who bought a Blackberry phone for the sole purpose of trying it. Then after 3 days or so, he decided then to sell it again at a bargain price because he already reached the peak of using such phone.
Do you find it practical or what do you think about this?

what is this person thinking this is such a big waste of money and not even to say most of the phone sellers make you sign a contract for at least 2 years and if you fail to pay the contract they have the right to ruin your credit

So you cannot just purchase a phone without having such contracts? That's some unusual agreement there.

Hahaha, i think this person has got a lot of money to spare, so he bought it and thought of just reselling it for the sake of doing so because he is no longer interested in it already.
I won't do that, because i have got no such extra money and i do not want to waste al my money that way just to be able to try something like a phone. I always research and see if i can like the things i buy first.

Wow look like your friends get a lot of pocket money . Buying a phone just to try it is total nonsense . He could have tried using the demo model which they offer at those mobile ships before purchasing .Also exchanging a BlackBerry for an old HTC doesn't seem to be a good deal either .
Also in my country things work a bit different . If buy a new phone , you can't return or exchange it . So we thing twice before finalising a model and try to use the demo piece before making a decision .

I say make an offer and go buy that from him! But seriously, if he's got enough money to blow like that, then that's his prerogative. I just hope he didn't buy a brand new one to use as a "tester". I mean there are lots of second hand Blackberry phones like in eBay that he can use to see if he will like a phone like that.

Wow, your classmate sure have lots of money to spend. I was not born rich and I have always been practical so I don't really know if I will be having decisions like that if I was born with lots of money. It's not practical to buy something just to try it and sell it on a bargain after few days. My parents would be furious if I acted like that.

Actually we have the same stand, but knowing that particular classmate of mine is indeed rich, I did not really bother to think that way. Instead, I was inspired and motivated to achieve their financial status. Anyway, he did not manage to sell it, but rather got an exchange for a used HTC phone worth P24,000 if brand new. And as what I've heard, the market value for such phone is around 14k according to him. I think that's a good deal there.
