what if i make a hit interesting category ??

I am not sure whether we(users) can add new interest categories on mylot or not but i remember i have read in some discussion that mylot interest categories are added by its users..If it is so and i add a new interest category on site and suppose it is liked so much by other members and goes very popular (am i being more optimistic? ;p) then would it be counted as an extra contribution of mine on the site or not? (ofcourse it would be, more clearly in regards of earnings :)

I think it is there if you want to fine tune your topic. It makes for more specific categories but there may be less people that see it than say in the more popular categories where more activity is going on. But it is good for organizing your discussions.

You can certainly add a new interest. If you select "interests" and then "edit", you will have the option of choosing an existing interest or to create a new one. I would advise a little care if you consider doing so because many members in the past appear to have created a new interest even though the category already existed, which simply results in multiple interests of the same category.
As for accruing credit from this, I do not believe that it will generate a direct income. The only purpose is to create an interest that you can then open an appropriate discussion in.

If you put up a new category, that won't earn you additional income here in mylot, except of course if you always use that category or interest in your responses or new discussions. Interests are common to everyone here and it helps us see which topics we can talk about in the site. =)
