I admit im not the best type of employee or anything like that but there are certain jobs that i know dont fit me well. but unfortunately these kinds of jobs often knocks at my door and gives me an offer for some reason i dont know why. for years now i am always having a problem when it comes to refusing these kinds of stuff, i wonder how you guys react when you receive a job offer that you dont like? i mean do you even go to interviews when asked?

When it is something that I know I wouldn't like or be capable of doing, I will not waste both the interviewer's time and mine. I would refuse right then and there that I wouldn't be able to make it and I am no longer interested. And I will stop at that. No need to elaborate something that might be misinterpreted. Of course I will thank them for their trouble in contacting them and for having chosen me amidst other applicants or job seekers. But I will have to decline the offer.

thank you for your comment my friend i appreciate it, the problem on my part is that most of the guys who calls me are the ones that i know in my heart do not suit me as per the said work/ job. anyways i just get frustrated that it happens over and over again , but as much as i can i just try to smile and keep it modest and try to say no and somehow tell them that there are lots of other applicants who deserve the job better than i do :) thanks for your time and i do hope you dont mind me adding you up as a friend in here im just new thats why

I haven't had that experience, fortunately, because it's sometimes hard to reject people who want to help you solely out of good temper and helpfulness, but they just offer something that is not your cup of tea. I think, in this case, a polite rejection would be okay and nice, something like that "It's really sweet/honorifc that you thought about me when you were looking for people for this job, but I don't think I would suit this kind of job", or something like that. Normal people would understand it (unless someone is just ridiculously picky about jobs when they have been unemployed for ages).

at first a normal way of saying no thanks with a smile and some kind gesture works for me , but recently is the problem i mean when these people tend to put bad meaning to my refusal or something like that. I mean we as individuals know our limits and our capabilities right? thats why when you were offered something and you know deep inside that you dont like it you need to at least refuse or be sorry that you even welcome the possibility of taking it , i just wish people will tend to be a lil bit understanding when it comes to this matter, thanks for the reply my friend i appreciate it a lot . by the way im just new in here :) cheers!

Well for me, I will just politely refuse it with a smile. But if I’m being unemployed and don’t have any own business or any jobs, I will still consider to take anything as long as it’s not an illegal job or something. If I’m in desperate need for money, I’ll take anything, I think.
