I know how to cook but I am not an expert. I prefer the long method of cooking than doing it in a shortcut way like cooking through microwave oven. But, I found this newest instant recipe mix. I know there is kare kare mix, kaldereta mix but this one is different. THis newest instant recipe solution but maggi is so cool. All you need to do is put the pork or chicken in a plastic that is provided with this pack and the vegetables and the powder and you cook it in a rice cooker together with the rice. After 45 minutes, its done already. It taste almost the same too like cooking it with "gata" or coconut milk and evap. This saves my day especially when I'm in rush. Maybe you guys could try it.

Haha. I am maximizing my time cooking rice and that meal at the same time now while myLotting. I am on prepaid internet now so I need every minute of time here now as the internet load is about to expire this afternoon. It really taste good and it taste the same like cooking the long process where we need all the ingridients. I think it will save a lot using this mix..

One pack is good for how many people? Coz my kids have huge appetite. and also there is my husband , too with the same appetite. If I were to cook Chicken curry for 6, which do you think would be best prepared- using Maggi or just cook it the conventional way?

I still prefer cooking the conventional way. One pack is good for only half a kilo of pork or chicken. Maybe you could double the pack if you are cooking a kilo of meat. If you have small rice cooker like mine, you should cook lesser rice in order for the plastic pack pops big thus cooking whats in it better. That is just my observation..

Hahaha. It is faster to eat if we buy food that we want. That is right ifa. :) But I can't buy cooked foods now unlike a month ago when we just live beside the public market where you can buy everything there.

I wouldn't try it because it is for me an unnatural way to cook food like microwaving. I am not trying to bring it down or anything but I just don't buy it that we have to use some plastic and some additives to cook meals. You can basically cook recipes in this Maggi Magic Meals for about the same time you would cook them in the rice cooker with the plastic. I mean it isn't that hard. And I think the plastic may have harmful chemicals in the materials which may affect the food. It is actually a good shortcut or faster way but we should always find time in cooking ahead of time so that our food would come out naturally.

Yeah it is very easy to cook using those products and time saving. It really saves a lot of time specially in preparing the coconut milk. I remember those times before that my grandmother will ask me grate the coconut meat and then squish to get the juice, it's like forever before everything is completely done. I'm glad we have these ready to mix ingredients now.

I prefer to use it only for sometimes it is the best that you use the original ingredients than it, because of much healthier, they put only lots of preservatives there to make it tasty. for me I use to prefer the natural cooking even though its not good but you try your best and also if you cook always im sure you can improve your cooking skills.

And it only takes 45 minutes? Wow that sounds like my ideal type of meal, I have to admit I am very impatient when it comes to cooking and tend to veer away from meals that take a lot of prep work and even longer to cook, it also tastes mouth wateringly good, especially when you mentioned the coconut milk. Thank you for the recommendation.

Never heard of a those, the one we get here are the instant maggis. Well i can cook those it takes like 5 minutes to get them done. But i am sure the one you are talking about here tastes way better than what we get here! Also 45 minutes is a lot of time compared to the 5 minutes maggi we get here. hahaha

THanks for dropping by r0ck_r0ck. I am just amazed how this instant mixes can do. It is so economical. Usually, with this kind of dish, that is chicken pastel, I need coconut milk and evap milk. In this mix, I just put the chicken and the veggies in a plastic and the powder mix, a little water and it is right away ready for cooking! I still prefer cooking the conventional way given much time

Yes, I think this is one way to help busy mothers cook a delicious dish in less time with no efforts at all. It could also mean that these companies are encouraging them to forget the conventional way of cooking and adopt the easy method. By patronizing this instant process, the health of our family could be sacrifice too, because some of the ingredients mixed (chemicals that had been added and the preservatives) could cause some health problems in the future. This is just my understanding, maybe some have other views about this process.

I don't use it that often though stanley. I still believe in the long process of cooking but lets face it, its a big help and economical. Microwave cooking isn't healthy either ut many still use it.

Hi bluespygirl! I've seen the commercial and honestly, I don't quite buy the idea of cooking food in a plastic in a rice cooker. That is just not how I want to prepare food for my family. I'd rather shed a bit of sweat, simmer, boil and wait for my dish to cook the normal way. My family deserves the best from me.
