As I have said earlier, I was much worried about my journey back home with my wife; because of our health issues and the 12 packages to carry home.
Mr. Sridhar Prasad (yugasini) of mylot along with his friend Mr. Narasingh Rao an electrical engineer and an office staff of my son, reached our home at 6.30pm, they took the pain to bring down all packages from 4th floor to gate where the taxi-cab I booked was waiting.
We moved to the railway station in the cab by 7.10pm though the train was to leave at 9.30pm, one may ask; why so earlier; the reason is after the series bomb-blast the police is alert and checks all 4 wheelers and 2 wheelers too.
At the station I requested them to negotiate and hire porters to carry the package to the railway compartment; reason is language problem for me.
But they said they won’t hire porters; instead they carried all these packages themselves to the compartment; one hold my hand while I rode all the steps.
None till this day had done this for us; tears came to my eyes out of gratitude; carrying the packages for such a distance was their act of kindness; I will never forget this.
All of them saw us off from Hyderabad at 10pm, we reached home after 24 hours; my son and 2 of my renters waited with taxi cab; they too carried the packages because no porter was available.
Did someone ever help you to this extent?
Please respond and share your views.
Thanks in advance. Professor Dr. B.Saraf. PhD.
Cheers have a lucky day ahead.
March 8th 2013.

Hi Professor Ji,
Good to know that people were there to help you out. I remember an incident on the last of my college, when I had to pack all my luggage and send it back to home. I had so many things to send back home, the staff at the railway station refused to pack my things so that it can be sent through train. I was so helpless then, I didn't have a room to stay there, my junior on that day, helped me so much. He went to market, bought all the things required for packing the luggage, he stitched each and every package by himself in summer after noon. That was a heart touching experience, I will be always be thankful to him for his help that he did on that day.
In case, some day, if you plan to come to Bangalore, do let me know.

I have personally never been in a situation where I have needed this kind of assistance. However, I would hope that when the day does come that I will need this assistance that there will be someone that will be willing to help me out without really expecting a lot in exchange.
I'm so happy to hear that your journey back home wasn't nearly as difficult as you thought it could have been.

I can feel how grateful you have felt over those two people that you have just known recently and yet took the time to help you out. Such great hearts they have. May God bless them!
You are so lucky that to have met them. There maybe only a few who would go that that extent in helping you.

Hello Sir,
I am so glad to know that you reached back home safely. It is indeed a pleasure to know that someone came there to help you from mylot community. God will send people to help good people like you.
We too had traveled many times already with plenty of luggages and some unknown people there to help us without expecting anything. It is really a tension moment to travel with heavy luggage but on return travel from Kerala we can’t avoid things as many people do order things from Kerala. It is all a part of our life and have to face it.

Reading your story brought tears to my eyes. It is so awesome to see people reach out and give of themselves to help someone in such a way. It restores my faith in humanity because all I seem to hear lately is all the bad things people are doing. I know there has to still be some good out there. Congratulations on your blessing!

I am glad you have reached home safe and sound. And Yugasini kept his word. Well I have always had good experiences and never left high and dry about help being offered by total strangers at times. I have had my accidents and serious ones that too and all those who helped me were those total strangers. There have been other times when travelling that I have had people helping. Yes I have had bad experiences too. But the good helpers were just too many.

Hi,
I have read the discussion of your friend about this. He is your true friend. You are lucky that you have such a friend. I also have such experience of help without any expectation of my wife's student. We shifted to new home in Pune. It is on second floor. My wife is suffering from muscular dystrophy. So she has difficulty in walking. Raju helped us to take my wife to upstairs with the help of his friends. He also helped us to take all the luggage to upstairs and helped us in arranging it. He is very kind boy.
