Will you stop? Or keep going?

I saw somewhere in fb that a guy pooped himself in a marathon just because he dont want to stop and go to restroom for a break. He did reached as 21st in the finishing line. If you are in that situation, will you keep running or would you stop and clean yourself?

I guess that's why they call it "answering nature's call"! If you have to do it, you have to do it, regardless of how important the thing you are doing at that moment is. If it was me, I would consider the emergency level of the situation. If I believe I can withstand it until the finish line, then I would probably keep running, especially more so if the number 1 position is still a realistic goal for me. If I can't withstand it anymore or if the number 1 position is beyond reach, then I would by all means go and relieve and clean myself.

That's a good way to think about it. But obviously he didn't think much about the consequences such as the embarrassment and yuckiness that followed from his decision!

According to his interview, once you quit, you might get that habit of quitting. Thats why he didnt stop to clean himselft ahehe.

He is a very competitive person. I wonder if he didn't feel uncomfortable in this situation. If I were him I would stop and of course do it in the peoper place because it comes out. In the first place, I would make sure that this iwl not happen. I will not eat a lot or I realease whatever it is before the race begins. It is so embarrassing! How did people knew about this? Was there a photo of this man in his wet pants/shorts? Now he is famous in a very awful smell.

Good. Hope I could see it. I want to see how gross he was. Anyway, yes you can post it when you reply to my response. On the lower left corner outside the message box, there is "add an image". Upload it there.

Personally, I would stop. Unless of course I was like the top contender, and stopping or going meant winning the race. Then I'd do the same, and just go while running. In a related point, I heard an interesting feature on the radio about Nascar drivers doing the same thing. They'd be in this race for 3 or 4 hours, so when they need to, they just go. Although, they did say that they wear diapers, and the pit lane is littered with used diapers.

Hi Blue! If i was in his place , i would better stop and go to the washroom than continuing and spoiling the whole place. It is sad to lose a contest but it's sadder if you're being laughed by all people around. Don't worry if i didn't you didn't win ,so many chances awaits for you.

What a gross yet interesting question.... I don't know what I would do. I know people work all year to do these marathons. hmmmm... I think If i was close to being the winner, I would keep on going.

Haha! Very interesting and gross! In the first place, you don't go for a marathon or something with your body not in the best condition. Well, call of nature as they say...haha!
