dreams that go on and on

I had a dream last night and this dream was not very interesting, it was about shopping for a new dress. But the thing about the dream that was strange was that even though my sleep was broken, sometime about twenty mins. another time for only four or five mins.. When I got back to sleep the dream went on, it was like it reran to the place just before I woke up and then continued on. This morning I don't have any idea what the dream was about, just the length impressed me. Has this happened to you?

I have had that happen as well. It does seem very strange and the dream will make sense while you are in it, but as soon as you wake up it makes no sense at all. Are you actually in the market for a new dress?

No, I was an observer only. I don't wear dresses anymore.

personally I haven't had dreams that were ''paused'' and then ''resumed'' but I know someone who had. As for me I sometimes have one dream and when I wake up and then sleep again I may have another one but different. So I think what you experienced is indeed strange. Perhaps you were in some sort of ''coma'' where you are neither really awake nor asleep and so your dream continued as soon as you were fully asleep again. Dreams are cool, even if they are nightmares, so enjoy those remarkable experiences

I wish that this was something that I could have happen to me with some of the dreams that I've been having lately. Of course, this is not something that is possible for us to consciously change. There have been far too many times that my sleep has been broken and I will only be able to tell someone that I want to get the dream back that I'd been having. It never works out for me that way and that makes me sad.

I have had dreams like that before. This is why I think they happen. When we get tired we fall asleep. But have you ever been real tired, like the entire body was not willing to cooperate with anything and just wanted to lay down and sleep? Well, this is where I think these on going dreams come from. I sometimes have dreams from things from years ago. Not only do they seem vivd, but they continue like you said, if our sleep was interrupted.

I dream a lot. Because I always dream different things, I researched and read facts about dreaming. Let me share some things that I remember. Some says that we dream because it is what we like to do in our lives subconciously. Some dreams tell something and some dreams are just out of nothing. Sounds confusing right? So when I dream, I think of those things if it has a meaning or message for me or what

Yes, it happens to me on a regular basis and it can be very frustrating. Especially when the dream is about something I would rather not remember or deal with. I think it is my mind's way of forcing me to deal with things. These dreams don't just continue throughout the night--if they are not done, they continue the next night where they left off! I'm surprised no one calls the cops because sometimes they are what I call "screamers" that make me wake up screaming. The bad thing is that when I go back to sleep, it continues where it left off only I know what to expect and I don't react so violently.

It was like lucid dreaming? He he Yeah. It happens to me many times if I am so tired and then, I easily fell asleep. The dream is not good. It was a nightmare that is why I have to wake up, but everytime I go back to sleep after a couple of minutes, I still had the same dream.

Hi, It happens to me many times. It may be called as lucid dream. I also feel it surprising. How can it continue after having distance? Thus we can have control over it.
