Not deviled eggs...deviled avocados!

I love avocados just on their own, their such a rich, creamy treat...but the other day I made something extra tasty! I was at work and had halved an avocado. I also had a container of hummus with me, and the place where the avocado pit had been was just begging to be filled with hummus. I have no regrets! Later, I realized that there was really nothing better to call it than a deviled avocado. Vegan version of a deviled egg, perhaps? ;) (I'm not vegan, but it was darn tasty!)

A common entree in my country is one in which we halve a big avocado place it over lettuce strips and cover it with shrimps and mayo. I find it awesome but too expensive (shrimps are very expensive here, so I fill the avocadoes with a paste made with mashed hard boiled egg with a bit of mustard and spices.

When I am a little hungry at night (too much mylotting) and I have half an avocado around, I just put salt an a bit of olive oil in the empty pit area and scoop it with a tea spoon. YUMMY!!!

Here in Mexico we make those avocados with tuna in them. They are also really good here.

That sounds really awesome. I love hummus and avacados, and together, that sounds tasty!

Yes, I eat avocados just the way it is too but I haven't tried any other way yet. Oh I remember, I used to blend it with little sugar and milk too. Deviled avocados sound delicious too and intriguing, maybe I will try it sometime.
