I am back to normal after a bit of a storm. After all, after the storm comes the calm, after the calm comes the sunshine. So lets make hay while the sun shines. Don't brood but move on. Are you still living in the past? Or have you too like me put on your best foot forward and moved on? Happy myLotting!

I feel I have moved on for the most part. I can say that at times I still think about the past but don't feel I am living in the past. With that said my past does make me a bit less trusting of things however that isn't such a bad thing because I was way too trusting before and tended to move with my heart instead of my heart. I do count my blessings daily and am thankful that I was able to learn from my past rather then dwell on it.

The past always teaches us a thing or two. It is better that we learn rather than brood!

Glad you made it through it... lets move up to the moon. We can do it all together.

The recent happenings in myLot generated this topic. No doubt it shook some of us a bit and myLot took steps in the best manner they could. I have moved on.

The older I get the lesser I stay on the pasts of my life. When I was much younger, its almost I live with the past. It was so hard to move on. But now I reflect after the storm, look at the things I can do to be able to move on and live a life I should be living. Good for you that you have a very positive attitude towards life.

A positive attitude is the only thing that can sustain us in our life. There is never an end to problems that one faces. A positive approach will have them fade into insignificance.

There are times when we cannot stand on our own and that is where we need to alert our loved ones who will surely be our strength.

If something hits me real bad, it would take months or even years before I could move on completely. Maybe one thing that makes it difficult for me to do so is not being able to let out all I have in my heart in mind. I know that being able to talk it out to someone can lighten the load, but I just don't feel sharing what I feel and think for fear of being rejected or just plainly ignored.

It seems you have a long way to go as you are in the middle of nowhere in that neither can you do it on your own nor can you share it with someone that could reduce your burden. But this will eat into you which is not a good thing. I do not know how you can make a beginning but a beginning you must do!

With a bit of the right kind of approach I am sure you will be able to do it. Life is much more than being shackled with unwanted baggage.

I have managed sonehow. I have just learned not to think about it anymore. I prayed for strength that I may be able to forget all the bad things that happened. And strive to pick up the broken pieces.

It is nice to see so many users here who believe in moving on leaving behind the past that might have hurt them, annoyed or done worse things. No point in brooding but learning something from our past could go a long way in better handling our future.

Fine for you to say...but I am still feeling a bit like a jilted bride...or a jilted woman! My love affair is over...as my partner lied to me! And I feel like sulking for a few days...so there!

You and you alone will have to live with that jilted feeling. But there is a way if one looks for it. So go search perga!

It is all in our hands if we want to learn from our past, not make those mistakes again, be vigilant about those who could have done us harm and then move on.
