I am not born a writer but it has been my passion since I was young. There are people who are not good conversationalist because they seem to be better in writing down thier ideas. Some even cannot say words to people they wish to know what their feelings are so they tend to put them in writing. Writing is such a good form of therapy. when you are in a peak of certain emotions and cannot find any available friends around, writing becomes your friend. You can say anything that you want without the fear of being judged and rejected. You feel a kind of liberation from any suppression you get from the outside world. And right after you have expressed those emotions whether good or bad in some terms, you would feel a certain kind of relaxed emotions.

. I agree for this is one of my therapeutic measures when there are storms in my life. I have to siblings to turn to and my friends are quiet far literally though we get in touch from time,to time. Through writing you can express everything. You release the bad energy that is destroying your mood and day. I blog also to boost confidence and connect with my dreams.

However, we must be very careful keeping them especially if we pour on our secrets because if you are not ready to share it in the open, you better keep it safe and for your eyes only.

I never thought that it could be also consider as a therapy. If that was a therapy of yours, I believe it had healed all your pains. I guess through this therapy your love for writing was ignited.

True enough and I hope it also works for everybody. But writing takes most of our time when you do it. You should also have some passion for it. Thanks for your comment.

I have not done so as much, but writing has gotten me through some really tough times. As a teenager and young adult, I often wrote poetry and stories. Now, I will keep up my journals, but for the most part, I do not get to do it as much as I had.

Writing has never relaxed me. If anything, it has made me think more. I'm the type who cannot converse well with the spoken word, but can write what I feel. There is a certain liberation with knowing you can erase what you don't like. You cannot erase a spoken word. I love writing; it is my life. But I've never found peace in putting my feelings to paper or print. It has helped me analyze them, though.

That is what separates a writer from a speaker. That is really one good about writing, we can proof read what we have written and make some corrections if we want to. Creative writing is different from the usual academic writing we learn from schools. Creative is more personal in which you can write some personal stuff.

I understand what you mean. Whenever I am upset or I have a lot of things going on my mind and I am not ready to talk about it just yet, I write about it. I pour out my emotions in my writing, I unload and surprisingly I feel better after that.

Hi Raine! That is good. In fact, writing can keep us records of learning that we had experience that sometimes our mind cannot contain. when you get back to that piece of writing, then you can be refresh of somewhat forgotten for awhile.

could not agree more! whenever I feel low, I write something. Almost all the times, that writing has taken a good shape that I publish them in my blog. The feeling that I get after I hit the publish button is unexplainable.

It does fascinate me whenever I come across a man who enjoys writing as well as reading. Keep it up.

I often use writing as therapy. I have periodic depressions and in February this year my depressions returned. During those days writing was one of the things that really helped me. I wrote about my thoughts and my feelings in my diary and sometimes I wrote 3 times a day or more. It helped me to write everything down. Sometimes I wasn't really sure what I felt or thought, but when I started writing down my thoughts it became easier for me understand myself and the the thoughts that I had. Sometimes it is a little shocking to read my diary later on because it shows me how severe my depression was at that time, but it also shows me that I was able to get through that time.

That is good. It is like a diary where you can express your true feeling about it. It is the inner secret where no knows the real emotion you had. Its not only in the diary but in journal or in blogs too or in written article. I am like that. No one knows my secret, but I have written all my secrets on my blog in my own language and I know that international readers won't undertand anything on my written blog. It is because its written in my own language.

What can I say, you just said exactly what's on my mind. I feel the same way too, I find writing a stress reliever and if I don't write I feel like I'm going to explode. I have a blog, and I write there.

Hi Che ! You said everything already , like i can't say more! All you said are very true ! Like you i am not a writer also but i also write because it is my passion also. I write not to impress the readers but to express what is with in. Writing does a lot in our life. True, It is like bestfriend who is ready to listen 24/7 , you will hear no complains or anything. Whenever we are down , it absorbs everything ! it is my solace . Writing helps us cure wounds that we have . I can't imagine life without it because oftentimes writing saves me from the dark. I convey all my emotions , happy or not in writing.

What you say is definitely true, and I can relate to it very much. Ever since I learned to write I've been using writing mainly for therapy. There's just something about writing that makes me feel better, and whenever I write my thoughts or emotions down I feel lighter because I've gotten them all out. And yes, I'm that kind of person who does not speak a lot but writes a lot. What I cannot say out loud, I say write.
