I have been waiting for Swagbucks Special PIN Code since 23rd December last year. It is inevitable to redeem SB points as rewards. This PIN is sent by postal card and in India delivery of postal cards to addressee aren't guaranteed. After waiting weeks, I took up the matter with support ticket and got permission again to opt verification mode at 2nd attempt to redeem. I did it on 20/02/2013. Yesterday, giving extreme happiness to me I got the Postal Card with PIN. Now I can use this Special PIN for all redeem purposes in future.

I have never heard of this Special PIN before; perhaps it is only applicable to residents in certain countries. I am residing in Australia, and I think Australia is one of the main countries the Swagbucks website is catered to, hence I don't experience any troubles with redemptions. But still, it is really difficult to earn SBs from the Swagbucks site. I only earn on average 20 SBs per day which is not much considering to get all those posh prizes you need thousands of SBs. Anyway, good to know that you have received this Special PIN and are able to redeem your hard-earned SBs for prizes and merchandises!

Swagbucks has recently opened in India. The first time that Indians redeem their bucks, they need to request a PIN number. That PIN number is mailed to them from The United States. Only when they get the PIN can they complete cashing out.
Last time that i redeemed my Swagbucks, I had to do a verification via text message. And I have been with Swagbucks two or three years. I think that Swagbucks has put in a new security system.

Oh I see..... It's good that Swagbucks is extending its services to more countries now. I myself am rather new to Swagbucks; have only been a member for about a year and have only redeemed one item from the site thus far.

Hello gerald_lian,
I think even some members from US have expressed inconveniences caused by Special PIN send by mail. No one has identified cause behind these two types of verifications yet. However I am now safe with it. Swagbucks earnings features to Indian accounts are lesser than that available in your country. However I am getting about 10 SB per day since I am using Swag Search for most of my searches.
Thanks for the response.

Congratulations, I know that's exciting!
I had to get a pin as well. I had been a member for a couple years then one day when I was cashing out they said I had to get verified. They had two option, send the pin in the mail or by phone. Not sure why. I was getting 5 dollar paypal cards now I'm getting 25 dollar cards, maybe that's why. Or maybe its just a new policy.
Altho I urge you not to close your account there. If you don't get many offers try the search. They also have daily polls and and codes. They also send you offers in mail and the noso's are something you can do daily as well. But my favorite is the videos. You can watch them all day long and they add up fast.
good luck to ya!

Hello devideddi,
Thanks for sharing my excitement and happiness. As you advised I am NOT going to close my Swagbucks account. Though features to earn are low to me I am getting about 10 SBs per day. Comparing with many other Rewards/GPT sites it is far better. Swag Search is my main instrument behind it. SwagTV isn't available to us. While saying about SwagTV earnings you may be smiling thinking that no need to be before computer to enjoy SwagTV.

I suppose changing prize choices could trigger the verification process. I redeemed dozens of $5 Amazon gift cards, but as soon as I ordered $100 to PayPal they made me jump through the hoops and verify my account.

Well, Just couple of week back I requested my payment by verifying my email address and just two days back I got my payment directly in to my paypal account. No need of verifying the postal address. Well, I don't know why they are doing different things to different users. But as they are paying I won't mind at all. I am sure next time you will get the payment directly no such procedure at all.

Hello akp100,
Even among members in USA these 2 different methods of verification exist. It may by random selection. According to e-mail from Swagbucks I can use this PIN for all furture redeeming. I think it is good relief for this lengthy waiting.
Thanks for the response.

I am glad that you got your PIN and can now cash out or redeem. Swagbucks is a great site and now you can finally enjoy the bucks that you have earned.
Your first Pin might have gotten caught up and even lost in the Xmas mail which is a huge thing in the United States. It is probable that mail in the states is better than mail in India but believe me, we have our problems also.

As time goes on, there may be more opportunities to earn Swagbucks for persons in India. I have good days and bad days. There have been days when i earn more than 100 Swagbucks and days when I earn only 30 or so.
So Swagbucks sent you a post card. is that correct. I am always concerned when I am waiting on a postcard even in the states because it is so easy for them to get lost in the mail. Fortunately, you did get it. Let us know when you get your first reward. What are you redeeming your swagbucks for?

Yes, Card received by me is in fine condition. Though features to earn are lesser I like Swagbucks. It is providing effortless earnings. Still I am getting about 10 SBs per day mainly by earnings for Swag Search. I have 1530 SBs in account and redeeming 1335 SBs for $10 PayPal cash. I have a gain of 65 SBs by that waiting occurred, since 700*2 SBs are needed for claims made twice for reward of $5 PayPal cash each.

Thanks for sharing my happiness. I too love Swagbucks though features to earn are lesser in India. As you indicated high load of items may behind missing of my 1st card. Service of Indian Postal Department too is good, but Postal Cards are cheap and not used for serious information. But they have given proper care to US Postal Card. I noted that Postman was cautious to deliver the card to myself though other members were available at gate.

Nice to hear that you going fine with earnings and payments. From the responses by various Myloters above it is clear that member's actions has NO part in getting either e-mail verification or home address verification by sending Special PIN. Same member has got home address verification after a successful redemption by e-mail verification. See the response of "skjee10" above who is a member in India.
Thanks for the response.

Thanks that you have recieved your VP. This is very confusing I invite one of my fried to swagbucks and he is from where I reside(India,Nagaland). Fortunately he was asked to complete the verification proccess by email for the redeemtion of $5 paypal cash. But unfortunately when I tried to redeem my $10 paypal cash then why? They are sending me Post card to my postal address since My friend and me live in same country, same town, same pincode, same state.
This is bit confusing.

Responses in this discussion have brought more clarity to this matter. Mode of verification is a matter of random selection. Some lucky members get e-mail verification and for others waiting for special PIN by mail.Same person may get different type of verification for subsequent redemptions. See response of "skjee10" who is in India and got both options on 2 occasions in short time gap. If we get Special PIN by mail, it is valid for all redemptions in future. So it better to be safe to be with Special PIN.

OMG! That is really a long time. I am an resident of India and I had to wait for almost 15 days to get it. By the time I got the special PIN to redeem, I already was almost reaching the next target for another 5$. It was indeed good for me because I i got another 5$ to redeem for the first time, for which I really felt good.
I am happy for you. Hope you earn a lot more on swagbucks as well as mylot.

Hello shrijsr,
Since Cards are coming from USA, my 1st card may be missed due to high load of items in Christmas times. Normally 2 weeks are taken for most of members in India. Since you redeemed for $10 instead of $5 you have some gain in SBs too. It need 1335 SBs to get $10 where it may need 1400 SBs [700*2] to get $10 by redeeming twice for $5. So you have gain of 65 SBs.
Thanks for sharing my happiness.
