I like Florida I've visited there before, & I have often thought about moving there, but due to the frequent storms & hurricanes Florida received I'm very skeptical about Florida in regards to living there I've never experienced an extreme storm or hurricane though I've heard & seen many news reports about serious storms & mandatory evacuations etc
I don't want to worry about evacuating my home & thinking about the possibility of my home being destroyed in a flood makes me less likely to consider Florida as a permanent residents. I know that there are a lot of wonderful things about Florida in general but the weather dangers seem to out weigh the positive attributes
That said a small part of me still likes the thought of living in Florida so I figured I should learn more about Florida & if there are flood safe county's that are less likely to receive severe weather
Are there towns or county's in Florida that are less likely to receive severe floods or storms & have you ever experienced a serious flood?

Hi Apples99, my distant relatives live in Atlanta in Georgia, which is very near to FLorida.
I think you might consider moving there.
The public transportation system is relatively well developed, and there are jobs there.
I do not think the storms or hurricane is a major concern there.
Atlanta is also home to many big companies, like Coca-Cola.
