Has anyone out there tried doing this or are these scams? I have seen a lot of adds for secret shoppers lately. I was wondering if, anyone does this?

Thank-you, so much. I was thinking something like that. That's why I didn't do it.

oh please be careful so I got a response from a Charles Rowland that I had been accepted for a job. I had to go to a western union and Walmart and he would send the details,it paid 200. So the next day I got a Fed-Ex packet with a 945 us postal money order the letter read, cash at my bank send 645 to another shopper who lost their funds and keep 30 for transportation fees and my 200 payment. Well I noticed the shopper that lost her funds was then a he all in one sentence, and not to mention why didn't they just handle their own business and send the funds. So I called the money order place gave the numbers on the money order to find out it was all fake. If I was a dumb person I would've cashed it at my bank been in the hole for that amount plus whatever fees they were going to tack on ,while they were sitting on the other end with the real cash. So glad you didn't.

There are scams in this area just like in others. However, I do mystery shopping from time to time and is is very possible to make a little money on the side doing this. If you look up MSPA in a search, you will find the hub, so to speak, of mystery shopping. If you obtain a silver certificate from them (one time fee of $15, you will qualify to do mystery shopping jobs nationwide. At that point you just go through their list and sign up with each company. I have been doing it for about a year, although there are not many places in my area to mystery shop, and I have "always" gotten paid. In fact, I have been paid from $7 to $50 for each job. Some are done by phone, and then others by visiting a certain location. That small $15 dollar fee has more than paid for itself so it is definitely worth trying. If you live in a larger city, the possibilities are endless.

Thank-you so much. I have tried a few and they seemed like they were scams. So, I have kind of stopped looking. I will have to try MSPA.

In my country, I did that, and they paid me. But I'm sure there are scams based on this kind of job, too. I tried to choose the one which seemed the most respectable and the one which there were the most positive reviews about. It was a fun experience... but I couldn't do it for a living. I did it twice, and I felt remorse because both times the people working screwed something up... it was so hard thinking about that they may have even lost their jobs just because I gave a negative review... but I was truthful, so...

I have done Mystery shopping, and I got paid I have done apartment shops, bank shops, resturant shops, and after I did the shop, I came home got on my computer, filled out the report and a month later I was paid, I was offer a car wash shop, where i would take my car, to get washed, I pay a fee, which I see nothing wrong with that, some times these shops, don't want you to buy anything, they want to to see how the employees, are treating the customers, and see how clean their store is, and then they will send me, my money back in the the form, of a check, I have done this many time.

We get a lot of secret shoppers at my work all the time.. I don't think they are a scam, it just depends on what site you use. I personally cant stand secret shoppers or that my company uses them.. HAHA they waste time that I could be spending with other customers, real customers..
