With the growing talent search shows all over the globe, Philippines has joined the band wagon of discovering Filipino talents through reality shows. The overwhelming success brought by the Filipino entertainers have paved way to other genre of talents like Jasmine Trias and Jessica Sanchez of American idon and Charice Pempenco who was discovered through the sensational Youtube. But Charice was also a product of a local talent show.
Pilipinas Got Talent better known as PGT caters to a variety of Pinoy talent showcase. That means that this show does not only look for singing sensation but they also open a new door to those who have unique talents. The show entertains all those variety of talents and they never discriminate even if it becomes so funny. Good thing that the country have this kind of show to give chances to those who believe that they can make it to be a star.

I loved watching this show! it is funny at times too but yeah i laugh, still i do not mean to offend or be mean - sometimes others join and try out but they only wasted the time of the judges and the people in there - especially those that only have a strong will and no talent at all to join. Other than this, I think this is really a good show, and hoped that others would have more chance to show their talents. Some of the people that got yeses though are booted out too early in the game that they had lesser chance to prove themselves via a different and a new act.
Season 1 was good! Season 2 is okay but Season 3 was rather raw still because they did the search immediately after the Season 2 and there were no ample break time. Now we see Season 4 and so far majority of those that got yeses were very deserving, and yeah i can forgive Ai-Ai's moment of going loco saying yes to those who just maade her laugh by performing with thick face as their main talent. he he

I think that is also part of the entertainment. They truly entertain those they know who was just there for fun or a try out. Anyway, they make the show entertaining as well. How I love the judges reactions whenever there are those who audition who donot really have a talent but only determination.

As Filipinos, we should be patronizing our own talents before we admire other talents from abroad. Anyway, it is our pride to see how they can compete with others in terms of showing their talents.

I think this is Avery good opportunity for those talented Pinoys but lack the necessary connections and boost to start up in the local industry. We all now how hard it is to get a break and for someone who is fresh in the industry who doesn't know anybody. This way, all they got are pure talents and themselves, no connections, no money, no knowing the right people.

That is definitely true. At least this is a good chance for them to show what a talent can do. I believe that they should also given a chance. There are new people in the business industry who did not go this process because they have relatives in the entertainment world even though they do not actually have talents.

Been following PGT since they started and indeed it's a great show where someone will be amazed on variety of talents and it's uniqueness among others. This show comprises everything.. drama, comedy, suspense, action, entertainment.. name it! It's all in PGT :)

I also admire the three judges because they represent different categories that sometimes made them clash when giving a YES or NO to those talents. They are I think respected jurors in their own field.

I really get annoy to some say "Filipinos are maid". one of our singer asked that by a foreigner who cares and she respond that "im a Filipino but I can sing" they think that Filipino's are maid? no we are worth dying for, we can prove to them that the Filipinos can do more than they expect for.. besides we can do more other than a talent. I can be proud of it

True! And even there are filipino maids out there, that should also be one thing we can be proud of. Filipinos are naturally loving and caring and they use that to show that we do care to other people and besides we can compete with other countries in terms of showing our talents.

Hi there Cherigucchi!
I also like this show. I was watching this last night and I was so amazed by the strength of the sixty-two year old grandmother who performed with her two granddaughters. Although like the judges, I was worried about the kids because it was like they can fly away from the pole anytime, I was also amazed at the same time. This is just one of the talents that I admired in the show. One that I will never forget is El Gamma Penumbra. I was rooting for them last season.

Although we have had shows wherein participants where able to show their talents, most of these, if not all, focused on singing. I also think it's great for ABS-CBN to have acquired this franchise of Simon Cowell. It's really a good platform for our fellow Filipinos to show that they're not only good at singing, but at other talents as well.

Yes, it's great that ABS CBN got to have a right too of this talent show. Unlike other talent shows, it showcases the different talents of the Filipinos. Thus, the Filipinos here and in the US (through TFC) gets to see how talented some Filipinos are.
It's also a great way of giving chances to the different talents.

Indeed fiipinoes are talented.. i think it flows in our blood anyways I'm also happy that we have a lot of talent shows here.. so it means the more chances to be known if you won one of them.. it is the chance of someone to showcase his or her talent and share it to others..
