Good day Fellow Mylotters, As I am doing some office work now near in our area, so my schedule is really tied up. I am doing offline task in the morning then online job in the evening. The schedule is quite hectic however I enjoy doing both. Except when the President requires me to do a job outside my office timings. That, even on rest day, he sometimes ask me to do some work wherein he almost hamper my private time. And because of this, there are some times that I am thinking of resigning. Well, the work is easy and not that pressure but the moment the President ask to do a task, he will not matter if he is giving an order beyond your time. And when he comes on the scene, you will be annoyed. Thus, this makes me think that the stress lies on the people and not on the work, isn't it..

hello there, i was also thinking to do that move however, for now, i am quite hesitant, as he only listens to himself and not accepting any other opinion. as in he will show it to you that is not acceptable. so i am thinking not to talk to him to avoid a not so good discussion.

Hi airasheila! That is the sad truth when you have a boss. That is why I am trying my best to find other sources of income especially online, so that by the time that I know I can already survive without my permanent job, then I would just work at home. As of now we need to be patient. Have a great day!

Hi ARIES1973, Honestly, I am doing my best in everything to please him but I guess, as the saying goes, you cannot really please everybody. That even I am doing my best, still it is not enough for him. And because of this, I am doing and working double time. Doing an offline job in the morning to that private organization office then doing online task in the night. So if the time for me to leave that job, I am still having my online job.

Hi Aira! You had the very same issue with my brother, and yes he was able to do his job and more, but what bothers him was that his boss has his ways of annoying him. He did eve think that he was making sure my brother would resign already because even if it was his day off, his boss wouldn't even ask or say please or excuse but would text and call him just to tell him that he needs to submit this and that. When he is unable to answer a phone call, he would get mad at my brother because he was supposed to always answer his calls! Even if it was a holiday!!! My brother had enough and resigning was the best thing he can do. Good for him that he left because it was no right way to treat your employees.

hello there, i can't really stop thinking why there are people who have this attitude. wherein they don't even give a consideration and yet they are not even the owner of the company. i guess, the only option if a very tight situation is really to resign. or you just choose to bear the stress plus the consequence it may bring.

Work in itself is never stressful. It is ourselves that contribute to the stress. For example, we always fel that the work should be lessa dn the salary should be more. However, that is not possible because for example, in business, the products have to be sold and depending on the selling of the products, the company makes profit an dbased on that profit, we employees are given the salary. In ordr to avoid stress in work, one has to be happy with the job that one does.

yes, that is really true, because even how hard the job we will never experience the stress, but when somebody ruin you and even the task is not that hard and heavy you will still feel the stress, that is why i prefer to work alone because no pressure and stress from other people.

You do have a good point there. I would just like to ask, whenever he asks you to do something that is already way beyond and above your normal working hours, does he pay you for the extra time or day?

Hello Raine38, I cannot charge my extra time as an overtime. What they are telling me is to do an offsetting in time. Thus, this advice might be good at some point but I am not really suit at this arrangement. Hence, most of the time I can't truly offset it. What to do, they are the boss and I am only a staff here. So I must follow rules or leave the post if I can't deal with it.

Well, I guess so. Yeah, I experienced that too.Sometimes not with the superior but also for office mates. I was annoyed sometimes when I work a lot but I saw some of my office mates who were just playing around and not doing their work too seriously, they were just talking but not working. I feel sick if that's the scenario. I felt as if I want to finish all those work of mine and go home directly.

Sometimes, our boss really forgot that we have something to do that's why we are there at the office and working.. Again, superiority is the issue on this. :) Better to teach your boss be a little kind to you after all. :)
