Spring Break Starts with Oz the Great and Powerful!

Our boys are out of school for Spring Break week. We began the break with Oz the Great and Powerful. The whole family enjoyed the modern interpretation of a familiar old story! I really liked the moral of the story. The 1939 version taught us that there is no place like home. This one proved that there is something better than greatness--goodness!

It is on my to see list for my spring break in two weeks. I have read many of the books in the series, not just the original. I loved the original movie, having watched it dozens of times in my lifetime. Last year, I read the book to my students as a read aloud, and then we watched the movie as part of our reward system.
