When can we tell a person is Telling the TRUTH ?

It is hard really. I don't know if it just me, but sometimes, even if someone close will tell me something, I do not believe it right away. Maybe it is my way for protecting myself from getting hurt after. So I just tell myself, that I should just prepare myself of what might happen next.

there is no real way that you can tell whether or not someone is telling the truth. that is where the thing call trust is put on the line.

Once a person has been marked as a liar, it would be very difficult to believe him/her even when they are saying the truth. So it will depend on yourself to gauge if what the person say is truth. No fast rule here.

Hi, You are right. if the person is marked as a liar then no one can believe on his truth. I want to tell one story for this. One boy is always making fun on the shepherd by scaring them and telling them "Wolf is coming to me" People always come to him to save that boy. And that boy stats laughing on that people by playing prank. He do so for about 4 times and make the fun. One day real wolf came towards him. He started crying that wolf come to eat me. But people think that he is lying. so they don't come to save that boy. The wolf kill that boy. thus liar can not be trusted by anyone.

It's hard to tell especially when it involves past issues on integrity and honesty.

So true, Once you lose the trust on someone it is very hard. So i would say you have to give the other person a chance to prove his/her trust once again before you can start to realize if the saying the truth or not. :]

What is the truth to you? The same as it is to others? I think we know if a person is lying or making something up. It's just we are mostly not willing to believe what our (6th) sense or our feelings are telling us.

it is hard to tell if a person is lying (is this the right spelling for lie-ying) LOL.. anyway, if the person is a professional liar. However, in the end truth will come out. Remember the old saying about "Fart" "if fart is hidden for a long time, when it come out, it will be terribly smell bad" LOL hahahaha

If a person who always tell lies,people will not trust him/her forever,eventhough one day what he tells is the truth,it is hard for people to trust him,people will doubt him all the time.So,it is better for us to be a honest people.
