I've been considering picking up some slippery elm powder from my local herbarium, since my boyfriend has some digestive issues and I may have a slightly too-acid stomach. I'll probably pour it into some capsules and take it that way. Have you ever used slippery elm for digestive issues or to help with sore throat, wounds, etc.? Did it seem to work for you?

I have tried slippery elm tablets for sore throat. They seemed to work well. They are soothing for a scratchy throat. I have not tried slippery elm for digestive issues but will give it a try.

Hello Catkin,
This is the first time I am hearing about slippery elm as cure of digestive problems. Thru your discussion, I will gain knowledge about this product.

NO, I have not, nor have I appraised myself of "slippery elm"! But I am finding that both my son and I get GOOD relief from Papaya Enzymes from Natural Factors. I am finding that I take these first thing in the morning, they are chewable and very pleasant flavoured! Just another alternative for you to look at!
