Is technology taking over your life?

Let's be honest here. How much time has technology taken away from you? Do you consider yourself to be an addict of the internet? Can you live without your phone? I think technology has both made me a more complete person, and king of dependent on it. Everyday I feel the urge to spend countless hours surfing the web without a purpose, instead of doing other (and way more) important things. But I don't think I'm that bad on that aspect, I can live without it — but it does improve a lot of things. Do you embrace technology as it is or have you let it take over your life to the point of no return?

Absolutely, it bring together people whom we love are are far far away! That's one of the great things of these wonderful inventions. But I do feel that sometimes it makes you take for granted the ones who are close!

I do agree that technology doors rule my life but in my defense I work online. So I'm constantly online checking and surfing online. I'm so glad technology has advanced so far and it will continue to get better. So for me it would be hard to love without my phone or tablet but i believe it could be done. And i like everyone would agree with this.

Absolutely. I think we could all live without it, but the simplest things could potentially become the hardest!

My family and I are not yet that dependent to internet. I had our connection cut last January because nobody's using it most of the time. We have our computer at home but we don't have internet. I guess we'll just have it in April again. However, my husband and my son are fond of playing computer games. Whenever they are home, they take the opportunity to play their favorite games. We use our phones when we listen to music and take pictures. If we don't need those two functions, our phones are just on idle. I guess there are still a few people who are not so addicted to internet or technologies. Nowadays, I just have internet access at work and when I go to a computer shop.

Technology is a great source of entertainment, but don't let it get too much into their heads, as it can make them more alienated from the world!

Well, I admit that for the most part of my life, technology is playing a big role. I could live without m gadgets, I'm sure of that, but it wouldn't be easy. For one thing, I mostly have gadgets that I use for communication. I live in a different country now and my husband works offshore and is not home most of the time. For that reason alone I need technology to bridge the distance.

Technology does make certain things better, it brings together those who are far apart, but it can also neglect those who are closer. It's really just down to how and what you use it for. But stuff like gps's and maps made everything so much easier... I don't think we could live without it now.

That's a great way of spending your time online, you have a purpose and it pays out it the end — so it's even better! :)

I think I consider myself an internet addict. Because just like you, I spend more time browsing more than doing something else. I even sometimes forget to exercise just because Im on my laptop which is really bad. As for phone, I only use it to call or text to my hubby whenever he's working.

Yes! I often pass exercise and overlook other activities that are quite important not only for your own well being, but also in general. It's quite an unhealthy thing to do, but I don't think I can spend more than one or two days without going to the internet. It's just this inner need, this inner craving that I can't seem to lower.

That's a lot of time! I used to spend all that time online a while ago, but it made me feel quite... strange, and put a huge strain on my eyes and back, so I had to stop.
