The new hits on the radio every week of diverse genres, covers on the youtubes iTunes, music has never been so alive. There are about 10 to 20 tracks on the top 40 that I can to listen to at anytime. The thing i like about the radio stations these days is that they pay a vast genre of song at a stretch, or may be I have been oblivious. In fact, the credit duly goes to the new genre singers and bands. Bands and singer now tend to bring up something new for us folks which makes them difficult to specifically label the genres as pop, rock, indie, folk, rap, pop-rock, indie-rock, indie-pop, etc. So they eventually categorized them as some whole new genre. For instance, I'd say 'The Lumineers' are a very Indie band, but I could not believe when sources have labelled them as a 'front-porch Indie/pop/folk rock'. It's just a clumsy way to label a band.
