Like most people I made a new years resolution to exercise more and for the most part it had be a really productive start. I'm two months in and my weight loss is platooing. I walk the beach for eight miles about three times a week depending on what i have to to for my job (mow yards, clean houses, etc). My question to you is should I start to introduce running into my routine or should I just continue a little while longer with walking.?

Do what you feel works for you. If you think walking is good enough, keep on with that. If you havent exercised much in the past, starting to hard will make you cut it completly.
Enjoy your walks, wear good shoes and avoid asfalt if you can. Start running when you feel ready for it.
Good luck:)

Walking is actually a good exercise already. Why not try to count your calorie intake and make sure that you consume less than you burn? That is the formula to lose weight. For example, calories intake = calories burned, weight maintained. Calories intake calories burned = weight gain. Calories intake

I personally don't think running is a good exercise for anyone. It ends up giving you damage to your feet, ankles and knees. That continuous slamming down on a hard ground is not good. I believe fast walking is the best exercise. I try to do 10,000 steps a day to keep in shape. I don't always reach it but I get close so I know it works because I'm maintaining my weight.
