Finding it hard to concentrate / myLot

I have to read a book for school called The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, I find it so hard to get done though! Maybe because I dont sleep much, but I cant concentrate well during the day. Now I should be reading but Im on here talking about it! I will try after this post. Sometimes I cant read if there is any noise but I was able to get some done last week while volunteering. I have to finish soon, my slow reading is making the course move at glacial speed.

Can you get the audio of it maybe? Or find a quiet place in the park? I took a book to the park one time that I needed to read to discuss with a friend that was all excited about it. So I found a quiet spot and spent the afternoon there. Finished it, discussed it with the friend the next day or so and it was great. Hope you find a way to get it done.

SOme of the best reading I ever did was setting by the window on a dismal day.

thanks ive been able to get a few chapters in since, still want to pick up the pace. thats whats on the agenda for today but unfortunately the weather is terrible so ill have to stay in!

Do not force yourself if you are not in the mood to read. Chances are, you will read without comprehending and will just have to re-read it when you are already feeling good. Which is a waste of time entirely. Maybe you should try and rest for now, after you're rested maybe you will get in the mood. This is of course if you don't have a deadline as to when you should be able to finish the book.

yes ive definitely had to reread things because i couldnt focus. i feel pretty good right now, though ive been having an awful week so today a bit more keep plugging away !

I think it is okay as long as you don't have a deadline, read when able is alsomy practiced.

i dont have a strict deadline, but i do have to finish the course by june. i got to read a couple chapters, maybe one more before sleep. i wish i could read more, because when i really get into it i love it. for books i dont have to read for school as well! another one i want to finish is the emperor of maladies a book on cancer. :)
