I think the 'Comments from my friends feature is not working', is ther a glitch?

Nice to know that this issue will be sorted out soon but why has it been allowed to remain like this for so long? This site looks as if the people who run it are no longer interested in see it grow more. They are missing the fact that this site has the makings of an international winner but I see no enthusiasm in attracting members from all over the world. The speed is slow, it takes forever to load and some of the restrictions imposed on newbies are downright draconian. It is a great site with a great idea but the zest is missing.

My guess at at least one of the reasons behind the "lack of enthusiasm" is MONEY. It is quite expensive to create, set up and maintain a website like this and needs about the same outlay, if not more, to rewrite the code for the interface as it does to create it in the first place. I suspect that speed of loading has been one of the things very high on the priority list and I expect to see some improvement in that respect. I also expect to see a user interface that is much more 'phone friendly', since many more people are clearly suing their phones to access the site. I don't think that Waseringtech are "no longer interested". Very far from it! However, the site is not (and never will be) as popular as social networking sites like Facebook simply because, whatever anyone says, it is not the same animal. MyLot have chosen a specific niche and I, for one, hope they remain true to it because it still has a lot of potential. There are a lot of people who have thought that they fitted the 'niche' but have found that they don't, after trying it. That is why the ACTIVE membership is probably less than one percent of the 'myLot population' figure shown below. For one thing, in order to make best use of the site, it is necessary to have a certain level of English and a basic understanding of the meaning of the word 'discussion'. I am sure that that is the main reason why many people have joined and then abandoned the site after a while. I cannot agree that the restrictions imposed on 'newbies' are 'draconian'. People are given every encouragement reasonably possible to familiarize themselves with the rules and workings of the site. The restrictions are there simply because so many have tried to ignore the rules and abuse the site. Another thing I hope to see in the new interface, however, is a rather more welcoming and informative page for people who are joining the site.

I can sense the rigidity and you will learn the hard way. Things change and one has to adapt to stay afloat. If newcomers are vanishing as quickly as they come in, there is something that is being missed by the admin. I was asked to do a guest post about writing opportunities and I include a few lines about myLot with my referral id cloaked within. In less than 3months, on the strength of that one article I have generated close to 50 referrals. For another writing site i managed 17 referrals. The sad part is only a few are making any effort to post and most have stopped after a few posts, none have gone on to complete a hundred as yet. The current lot does not believe in writing. They use their finger tips to just text messages. Maybe they will wake up but I sense no enthusiasm to get going and get that star rating. I've been familiar with my lot for more than 4 years now and i wait for better things to happen here.
