My Childhood memories of Reading were Enid Blyton's The Famous Five. I loved these books and would read and reread them a hundred times. If some one tells me to read these again, I will read the entire set again. I love those books and stories.
How many of us have read these books at some point of time?

Sad to say that schools were banned from having Famous Five books in their libraries I think it was because of the discriminatory nature that was contained in her books, I may be wrong, but there was a big thing about it years ago. It's such a shame because I loved the Famous Five and The Secret Seven books, I grew up on them and they sure helped me to read!

How could stories about kids having adventure and catching criminals be discriminating. I seriously don't understand these people who have their own thoughts and action. I heard that once merriam dictionary was banned around schools. Because it contained inappropriate words. These people are insane to do such things. This deprives the younger generation of fun books which also encourage to read them and opens them into a whole new world.

I used to read them when i was a child they were wonderful and inspired to write my own article when i was still in junior high school. I still remember sitting seriously and right to think of a situation to write but alas i never took it up seriously because of my education and now i am back to writing. These books are my introduction to novels and my passion at the age of 10 or something.
