Your bet on Pujara or Kohli ?

So there is a lot of noise that Pujara may fit in the shoes of Dravid. He has already show great appetite for runs by scoring two double hundred in short span of his career. Kohli is a hit in ODIs and is proving his potential in Test matches as well. But my bet is still on Kohli. His technique is flawless and he is going to score runs all round the world like Sachin had done. But unlike Pujara, he cannot score double tons. Pujara test will be in SA in front of steyn, morkel and philander. I think kohli will win the race there. What's your say mylotters?

I see Pujara as second wall, he is definitely playing good knocks and has temperament like Dravid. I see kohli as future Sachin in all formats. i will be the next great after Sachin for Indian Cricket.

I also think that Pujara can be solid like Rahul Dravid and Kohili is more attacking player and scores more runs in limited balls.

I think that Kohli technique is even more solid than Pujara. Kohli is going to make centuries all round the globe like Sachin Tendulkar.

Hi anilhclites. Well I don't think any of them can become the next Dravid. Though I firmly believe that both are very promising cricketers and are here to stay. I feel that in Test cricket Pujara will out perform Kohli in statistics if that is what you meant to ask. However, I believe Kohli would also become one of those permanent members of the test squad. Anyways have a nice day... SuperShames

I think both of them are good players and both of them will become good players with more experience. I think both Pujara and Kohli are capable of winning matches.

Both are same, According to my view PUJARA is VVS and KOHLI is DRAVID. we lost two great legends and immediately returned same like them. But for me PUJARA is little ahead.

For me it's Kohli. Let see who is right, we can find the answer during India tour of South Africa. Lrt's hope both perform well there.

Kohli is already ahead as he made his debut overseas in WI,got tested with short balls there and then he did well in Australia too against high quality pace attack. While Pujara has played just couple of tests in SA that too at no 6 in batting postion so he is still untested in foreign condtions. Its never easy to play on no 3 especially when ball is swinging and bouncing,so i agree Kohli is ahead currently.

Both are going to shine in international cricket making splendid innings for India. I think Pujara has good similarity with Dravid and in his future in cricket too. His performances in domestic cricket too is similar to Dravid making lot of runs before getting chance in Indian team . Kholi is a player of "Sachin Style". I expect more from Kholi than Pujara, considering all formats of cricket. But recently Kholi is behind fame and fashion bringing him less attentive to hard work for more excellence to his techniques.

We have seen Pujara on Indian turf, thats why we are saying that he may be ahead than Kohli. But in SA, things can go worse for Pujara.

From what I've seen of Pujara lately, except for the hook shot where he's been found wanting, he seems to have a pretty decent technique. Virat Kohli on the other hand has the added plus of being able to score quickly. I agree that Pujara's real test will come from SA in SA but I somehow feel he'll end up performing better than Kohli in the test arena internationally since he's better suited to it while Kohli's impatience can sometimes get the better of him.

In my opinion it is not the right time to compare Pujara or Kohli with Dravid. Both Pujara and Kohli are in their initial stage of their cricketing career. While Dravid baselined his class not with 10 or 20 test matches. It will take long time to compare them with Dravid. It will all depend on how long they can be the match winners or match savers and how long they can remain in the team.

No doubt that Kohli has all the techniques to be a great Test player, but as far as Test cricket is concerned, I feel Pujara is a better Test player. He has got the determination, technique, concentration and above all his temperament is just what is needed to be a great Test player. But Kohli is a top ODI player, I should say and we'll find out who is better on foreign turf like you said.
