We shifted to new house last month. We sold almost all the furniture in our old house. because we have some furniture of my friend in this new house. My friend has given me this on rented basis. We have to keep all the shoes scattered everywhere because there is no place to keep them. So we kept them for some days in the box. But it was uncomfortable to pick up the shoes from the box. So we purchased one shoe rack for keeping shes neatly. We have some small troubles.

I used to have shoes rack but most of it got rusted.
Sometimes the plastic covering got chipped off. So,
we thrown all away. We just left our shoes on the
floor and it do look untidy and not pleasant. But
what to do, save cost. That is why we hardly invite
guests to our house - too untidy...
One of my 2013 resolution is to tidy up the house
to look like a proper home that human being can live
in.

Yes, a shoe rack does helps. Initially, i had certain reservations regarding getting a new rack and using for shoes. Yet, now I can see the benefits.

Hi,
Before we don't have shoes rack, shoes were scattered everywhere and it looked untidy. Now the shoe rack changed the get up of our house. now our house is tidy. I think your house would be tidy soon. Thank you for the response.

Everyone in our family typically only wears one pair of shoes and then we each have a pair of dress shoes that we own as well. We are typically the people that will keep our extra pair of shoes under the bed and then the pair of shoes that we wear on a daily basis is typically kept somewhere convenient. For example, I'm the kind of person that takes my shoes off right beside my bed and then I know where they are in the morning. If I owned more shoes, I would definitely invest in a shoe rack.

I would love to have a shoe rack, or some sort of way to keep my shoes neat. Right now, my shoes are in boxes under the bed, which is most inconvenient; in the closet, though they don't always make it back into boxes; or next to the bed or in the living room. I only have a few pairs too-most of my shoes were lost inbetween moves.

My boyfriend forced me to leave most of my shoes behind (in two moves). But by keeping them in boxes (the boxes they came in), I'm more likely to keep them in good condition.
I was considering getting a cedar shoe rack-what type do you have?

Hi,
When shoes are kept in box then get lost in between move and difficult to find out. So shoe rack is the best solution for this. thank you for the response.

A shoe rack is a good idea cause it would keep the shoes dry and aired, it would prevent and discourage growth of odor causing bacteria and fungi to thrive obviously better than keeping it in a dark shoe box after it had been worn already

Hi roshigo58, that is nice to shift to a new house. It's good that you can still sell your furniture away, i don't think we can do it here in my country.
What kind of troubles are you facing? Since you have bought the shoe rack to keep the shoes neatly, that should solve your problem having no place to keep them, and saves your time from taking the shoes from the box, right?

Hi,
You are right. when the shoes were in the box they used to get mixed up the time is wasted in finding them. We have to sell the furniture because this house already has the old furniture of my friend. We are going to purchase new house for us and we don't want old furniture in our new house. But it would take some time. Thank you for the response.

well, there is always one problem or the other with these rented houses. i too had a problem with the place for my washing machine, we could find no specific place to put it so that it did not get into our way why not try something of the wall hanging kids? once i saw a stand that was attached to the back of the front house door. it saves space and makes easy and accecible what do think?

We have a big shoe rack in our hallway, there are three of us that use it, it's very useful and ideal and accessible by the door. Such a simple design and yet very useful to keep shoes together, nothing worse than tripping over shoes that have been left around!

Hi,
We don't have big shoe rack. Only two of us use it. My wife can't go outside the house because of muscular weakness. One pair of her shoes is kept on the rack. so it is comfortable for me and my son. thank you for the response.

I think a shoe rack is the best idea. We have a kind of makeshift shoe rack. Our shoes too used to be in a state of "disarray", and we desperately needed to organize them. Yet, it was a problem with us having young kids to manage and so much work at home.

Hi,
You have young children, then it is difficult to manage. They have no habit of arranging shoes. They throw shoes anywhere. Thank you for the response.

Yes, I think shoe racks are also important. I have a small one holding not more than 4 pairs. I saw some in shops the ones with covering so that shoes are not visible.

Ours is a open rack. In closed rack there is no problem of dust. thank you for the response.

Even i live in a rented flat and i too wanted to buy a shoe rack for myself. But the thing is i never had that time to go and buy one. So what i did is i made a small iron book shelf a shoe rack. This was very old and i thought of turning it in this use as now i don't have too many books, and i think making something to put to use rather than buying a new is not a bad idea.

hi,
It is a very good idea to use old book rack as a shoe rack. It is better than buying a new shoe rack. Thank you for the response.

There is no other way to enjoy your new home than by making it as comfortable as it is. And one way to make this is to be well-organized on all the things inside the home. I hate having to get things scattered from all over the place. So i literally have lots of organizers in the house so it makes the house clean all the time.

All our shoes were always scattered in front of the door and looked very bad. So we bought the shoe rack. Now we have arranged the shoes on the rack neatly. Now it looks nice. thank you for the response.

Hi
Nice to hear that. But i didn't understand why you sold all the furniture. I mean we have some attachments with our things in our house like wise with furniture also. Like some furniture bought for children or wife etc.

Hi,
we have brought our sofa set and dining table to our new house. But in this house bed, fridge are already there. Our old house is bigger than this house so there is no place for our furniture. All the cupboards and beds are very big. So we have to sell them. We have attachment with our furniture but there was no option because we want to stay with our son as he was staying alone for 7 years due to his job. Than k you for the response.
