I don't think the economy is very good. However, here the rental price has increased crazily as time goes by. So some stores can't afford it and then they are closed. I just don't understand why the rental price can still rise up so high today.

For all kinds of reasons. The market goes up mostly. I remember when my daughter and I could rent a two bedroom apartment for $290 where now it would be about two or three times that. It's the market.

Here also almost all the price rise up like rental, food and other goods, according to our government the economy in our country is getting better but i think we do not feel it. My sister forced to close her store in the public market because of the high rental price and if she can not afford it anymore.

Same here, the oil price also increased and most of the time we do not use our car anymore, we preferred to take public transportation or walk to save some money.

The economy is not good recently, the rent raised so high. In the end made the stores have to raise the price and in the end, it’s customers who have to cover it by paying the higher price. Everything is so expensive recently.

Yes I think so that economy is not that good as they say. Everything is high and many are in difficulties. I think the government must really do something in regards to housing and prices of commodities especially the foods. Thanks for this.

I think it has something to do with the scarcity of resources. The more scarce something is, the higher its price will be. And the price of an object depends on how much money a person is willing to give up for it. Maybe its because the place you're renting in is a good location and so the owner must get maximum reasonable revenue from it. And they also have to raise rent to be able to buy more of the things they need as their prices are getting higher as well

It is sad to see some high street stores close due to falling sales and rising rent, you'd think they'd help businesses when they are struggling so much and make a few concessions, but no. It's commonplace now to see many high street shops close down, one day there won't be any shops and everything will be done online to save rental costs and falling sales.

Hello You Less. It is a shame that the economy is in a bad situation. The rental price should stay the same since the stores will have trouble paying the increased amount of money. The recession lets the cost of living go up it seems to me yet people are a lot poorer than they used to be. Many shops have less customers and people have little money to spend. Many people are struggling financially.

Maybe it is due to the increase in the population of labourers from the countryside there.Normally, the rental price increases with housing prices.

yeah, i know what you mean. i observed stores used to closed it because of too much high rents of that space. i mean, it would be okay if at least they can profit still. but what happened is that, the rental is too high while earnings is not that good. so it is not balance.

I think the reason why the rental price increase crazily is because the real estate are too high for people to afford, then due to so many people can not buy the apartments or the stores so that they all tend to rent the apartments and stores, hence, the rental price ture to crazily.

The property market in Malaysia also has rise multiple fold.
They have every reason to increase the price of houses, shop
units and rental. Price increase when there is a plan that a
high way will be built, or a rail transit will be up, a college
will be nearby etc..etc... However, salary of the workers did increase
at the same rate. The spending power has decrease, increased in rental
has increased cost of goods and services has brought unwanted inflation.
I myself also puzzle as my monthly salary just enough for expenses ...

Hi ! That happens in our place also , tenants surrender because business can no longer help the family's income but only the owner are profiting from their very high rental. The owner goes for high rental because the the taxes they are paying high also plus the profit they add into the rentals. It 's crazy but everyone is suffering from bad economy but most especially the below poverty line. Wish world economy will recover .
