benefits of role model

It is true that keeping role model makes us to reach our goal?. i think most of us has some role models in life.some says that dont follow others be yourself and live your life with your own style.IN my point of view,keeping role model has more power to achieve our goal and its creates some force to reach it.do you role model friends?

Like the old saying, be a follower before you're being a leader.
I think this is quite true and may be applied in this case as well. 
By having a role model, you'll get more motivation to achieve your goal, and to be able to match your role model's achievement.

It really depends. I don't need a role model, because I like being unique... but for some, it could help... especially because role models usually are successful in an era of life, and they would help people not to give up on their dreams or not to lose hope.
