People try so hard to look young and attractive these days. They get all kinds of products and even go for plastic surgery in order to achieve that. Sometimes the end product may not be satisfiable and one may suffer from certain health problems too. Some people are also born with diseases or being disadvantaged which they have to live with throughout their lives. So here is the topic of discussion, If given a choice, would you rather live a healthy normal life which is free from all diseases or handicapped. Simply a perfect life. Or, would you rather live with everlasting youth yet you might be hit by diseases or you might lost certain parts of your body?

hi there, squallming! I sure would rather live a healthy normal life, free from all diseases. Last week, I encountered a tweet which said "Beauty doesn't last; a beautiful personality does." Life is not perfect but we can choose to have the personality, the attitude which will make less perfect situations perfectly positive. Our response, after all, is our responsibility. We can choose to grow into grumpy old men and women or we can choose to live each day as it comes, worry-free, trusting that there is a God who loves everybody equally and knows exactly what He's doing. :) happy myLotting!

Yes, our life can never be as close to perfect. Yet, being able to live healthy normal life would certainly help you a lot in life. Of course, you have mentioned about faith to the almighty god. Perhaps living in the way of God would be able to grant one with a happier and better life. Perhaps a self contentment.

I choose to have the perfect health. Even though I might get old, I want I have a good health which make me can enjoy this life. Not everlasting youth but I have to suffer not to have some body parts or disease which makes me have to be on the bed in the rest of my life. For me that’s not the way to enjoy life. And one more thing to add, I want to have a good health also with good mind, which is mean free from depression and be happy in life.

Does that go for mental diseases as well as physical? Given a choice I would love to be able to live without depression, it's so debilitating and I cannot lead a normal life, due to the restrictions of depression, it's not only depression but social anxiety and a personality disorder, my life is almost confined to living at home and not going out. So I would love a healthy normal life, but free of mental illness.

I would like to think that choices I make do not leave me open to diseases or loss of body parts. But I know this is not always the case. One of the reasons is that the results of choices, even those well thought out before they are made, cannot always fortell the future results. I also know that many lives that look healthy and normal are not that way at all. We all have our challenges in life and I feel it is best to look at what you have to face and not envy what you think are other's perfect lives. There are no perfect lives.

I would definitely choose the simple yet perfect life. After a while, for me, looking young, loses its meaning. It would be bizarre to date 20-year old at seventy, and how my beloved are all going to die before me, even my x-th kid...

I prefer to live a healthy normal life. I would not go for any surgery or buy super expensive products just to delay nature's cycle of growth. I do not have anything those who go under surgery because that is their preference and may be they can boost their confidence through those procedures. I may not look that perfect but I am confident with myself.
