As they said, education is one of the best investment you can have. In some point, this is one of the basis to determine how much a company will offer you for your salary.
Currently, I am working now. I am receiving an average salary of a bachelor's degree. My colleague told me that if I will be able to finish a Master's degree, the company would probably offer me a salary with almost double the value. I am interested with this kind of benefits, but honestly, I don't want to pursue anymore studies.
If you will be given a chance, would you like to obtain a Master's degree for the sake of your salary promotion?

I have masters degree but i am still unemployed, i tried many jobs but i was not satisfied with them. Many times, when i went for interview they said like your qualification is much higher than our requirements, we doubt you would like to join here...bla bla.. Its true, earlier i felt that i am caught in wrong job which doesn't suits my profile. Well, i am still in search of my dream job, lets see what happens..

Definitely, there will be those times that employer thinks that you are over qualified for a certain job. But when such case happen, you need to defend your side. You have to tell them also that you are willing to accept that job (especially when you need it) even if it cost you a little salary expectation.
What important for that matter is that you have education that can think of the company that would be an asset, if in the future they're going to look for someone who has the qualification that can fit yours.

I'm just a freshman college student right now, but ever since I learned there was something beyond a Bachelor's I already wanted to go to Graduate school. I want to go for a Master's degree not for a higher salary or for the title, but because I want to. I have a love for learning, and I want to keep studying even if I already have a Bachelor's Degree.

I wanted to take masterals but as for now I do not have a budget to suffice it. If its for the sake of salary promotion. Why not obtain a masters degree. After all, there comes a point that our salary today is not enough to suffice our needs. However, if you would not be happy then better not pursue. You might end-up unsuccessful.

Well, thats an interesting question.I might not go for master degree just for salary promotion.Any degree whether bachelor or master has a value. Its not about money but then rather an accomplishment in the chosen field. It has a more successful thing than others. But again from my experience, i have not seen much difference in salary mostly in IT industry with respect to masters and bachelors. What counts there more or less is the relevant experience in the skillset. And that determines the salary and other benefits and promotions assisted At least that has been the policy by most organisations around the world as well. Well, most people pursue master's for the monetary benefits. As far you are concerned, well you need to weigh whats good and bad for you.If you think you are done with studies, go for the job.May be at some point of time, you could earn and sponsor your own master and then go on to earn double salary.I did my bachelors and wanted to do master in management. But due to family issues and financial commitments, i was never able to do it.I would love to do mba but not sure if i would ever be able to given the costs and things.Hope for things. Thanks!

There is nothing wrong in pursuing further studies, especially when it'll help you get a higher salary or position. But there are a lot of factors to be considered such as time and money. If you're lucky, some companies sponsor their employees to take Masters, especially if you're doing well. If you're up for it, go get that Masters degree. It will also improve your resume and boost your career.
If you ask me, I'll still study, especially when time permits me. I'm still young and I wouldn't let this chance go. I have nothing to lose but additional knowledge. And more impressive resume which employers want. Plus, I have an edge against the others. So why waste that opportunity right?

Oh yes I want to pursue my master if I'm given the time. I love to learn and tsudy again. I'm also working and recently became a mom so that chance became so thin. But myhopes rae high. I'm pursuing it for personal reasons/achievements not because of salary thing anymore.

Hi borgieboy!
I know having a masters degree can help much if you are really aiming for a higher position. But as of now, I don't have plans of pursuing my master's degree. I can say that I am happy with my present position in my job.
What I want to achieve is an online success because this is the thing that really interest me this time.
Have a great day!

Certainly yes, I will take that masters degree. I'm willing to undergo another round of studying just to get a higher pay. It is a wise idea to get that high salary and start saving for my future. Just like you put into it - it is an investment that offers high returns. It's worth the sacrifice. Thanks

Yeah, Im going for my masters degree this October hopefully. At the beginning I didn't want to because I didn't feel I need it straight away seeing as I could probably land a job without it. I know a few people who have already. But then I thought if I wait I probably will be even less willing to do it in the future. So I rather be fresh from my bachelor studies and go straight for my masters.
