I'm 24 years old. I have a young daughter and no babysitter so I really don't have the time to go out and do anything with my real life friends. So I'm looking for some new online friends. We can chat on here, through Facebook, or email. I also use Yahoo! Messenger when it lets me login. Lol
I'd prefer friends who speak pretty good English, male or female, within the age ranges of 23 - 34. If you'd like to know anything else about me, please feel free to ask!

Hi friend, good to hear about you. I am also in your sort, interested in making online friends. Mylot is the best place to make online friends.

I think social sites like yahoo, facebook, etc had made people able to make friends. I also used to spent time in yahoo chat before. Now a days I use Facebook and spend time more in myLot.

I was the same...single mom with 4 kids and I worked weekends so you can imagine what that did to my social life. In retrospect, it was probably a good thing. I settled down and focused mainly on work and my kids. I did not even own a computer until years later when my kids were in middle school and it did connect me to the outside world a bit...still does even though my kids are now all grown. I still work crazy hours. And while I speak pretty good English, unfortunatly I do not fall into your age range of 23-34. I'll just be your friend on Mylot and hope you are able to find some friends in your age group.

I'm in a program called Bridges where I meet up once a month with other new moms and even mothers who have three or more children. But in order to be in the program, you had to sign up while you were pregnant and once your baby turns a year old (which mine will be next month) you graduate from the program.
I have met a couple girls around my age from going to the meetings but they don't seem interested in doing a play date type of thing. One of the moms (we actually went to each other's baby showers) is a friend of mine and we chat on Facebook and call each other occasionally but we've never actually spent time with each other outside of our monthly meeting.
Another mom who is a Facebook friend is all about drama and only talks about how she can't stand her baby's father. Which is fine to an extent, we all need that time to vent, but that's all she EVER talks about!

That would be nice and I'd like to hang out with her but I don't have my own car and I can only use my mom's if I ask in advance. I also have to have gas money and that doesn't happen too often since I'm currently trying to pay off my student loans.

I'm not surprised you have no friends , many people suffer the same. Nothing to advise you cause i am lot younger than you , Just a lesson that i shouldn't become like one !

Hi there, I can be your friend if you want :) but I think having a real life friend is much better from online friend. Time is not really a big deal for friends I think, if you dont have time to go out w/ your friends why not invite them in your place and do some activities like cooking, watching dvd's or even a simple fellowship will do. ;)
