Extreme Sports — are they worth the risk?

Would you be willing to gamble everything for a few thrills? With age comes great responsibility, but even so, I would. I often wonder if it's really worth it... until I do it and realize it is. The feeling is incredible, but you have to always watch your back. People often say "you only live once, so why not", but don't you think that's a bit like saying "you only live once, so I'm going to try and die the fastest way possible"? Those who say that don't understand it. "Oh, you only live when you die", but I sure don't believe that. With all this in account, I would still risk it. Would you?

If you are all by yourself and living alone with no friends, and no dependents or family to take care of, or even a living old parent there for you to look after, and cry about; then i will say, by all means let's try all the extreme sports you could possibly get your hand on and try to die the fastest way possible, after all it make not much of a difference whether you live or die, since there is nothing much in this world worth living for as you are living for yourself only day after day with no responsibility toward anyone.

I would like to try skydiving and bungy jumping. I know that I would be really scared before I was going to do it, but I am curious to try it at least once. I know that there is a possibility that it could go wrong, but I would still be willing to take the chance and try it. I have told my husband that I would like to try extreme sports, but he is totally against it and he thinks that it is far to dangerous. I can't tell him that it isn't dangerous at all, because it does involve a risk, but I would like to challenge myself and experience something unusual and I would be willing to take that risk.
