Are You Ever in a Dream as Someone Other Than You?

I'm not; I'm always 'me.'
That is, I never look down at the clothes I'm wearing & think, "I must be Cap`n Jack Sparrow!" or "I must be Fat Albert!"; even if I'm talking like a Caribbean pirate or like an obese hoodie, it's always "Avast! Hey-hey-hey! I'm Uncle J!"
Does that mean my ego is too strong? Or do you have such a dream-ego too?

I am always me. I'm not always sure who the other person in my dream is, but I am always me -- which can be kind of scary. Sometimes I find it really hard to know if my dream is real or not, until, thank God, I wake up. I've never heard of anyone not being themselves in their dream. I think you are okay. The problem would be if you never dreamed of anyone but yourself.

Maybe that means that you've become the person you've always dreamed to be. Maybe...

I had this dream about snails. They have a $hitty life. I feel so bad for them.

That's only when they try to be something other than snails. I bet THEY think WE have a $hitty life---scupted clay-forms trying to be something other than the moist rocks

That's when you have to remember what you chose the boring life instead-of.
Example: I'm a phenominal actor, but I chose the non-famous life instead of the constantly-having-to-be-somewhere-on-time life of an actor/student/employee

Thats true, omg! It is. I think we'll find anything were not used to quite $hitty anyway. But then we'll find what were used to as boring at one point in time.

Might just be some wish fulfillment thingy. I had dreams before about being someone other than me. I mean I looked different and all but I felt strongly it was me. Sometimes I feel like it was just a past life memory.

Personality wise yes, but not necessarily always looks wise. I've been the ghost of a young mother seeking her child, the daughter of a noble man and sorceress in training from the Victorian era and a few time I've even been male. All different in appearance, but still myself.

@enlightenedpsych2 I'm not sure, but have considered that. I do believe in the possibility of reincarnation.

Dream ego? Oh. Well, I remember one time where I dream that I am a male. Its feel so good and I do not know why. I can court a women and there are many women who fell in love with me, and chasing me all the time, but when I woke up, its just a dream.
I dream that once and maybe there is a hidden message on it. I do not know what it is.

The message: that it's time for feminism on the marriage-front.

I am me in my dream but maybe not always look. I remember that I’m dreamed that I am some kind of witch and with my friends. I don’t really remember it since it’s too vague.

I am always me too. I don't like mimic someone else or never easy to be changed by just something or someone.
I do not think this is kind of the ego stuff. Its our nature thing that distinct us from others.
