I just had my lump on my back removed last night but unfortunelatey, it was not successful. The doctor said it was attached to my bone and therefore, cannot be removed. (Oh really? You should have known that before you cut it right?) I had four stitches on my back and it is hurting at the moment. I was advised to return this evening for further analysis. He was talking about MRI last night so I think that will be the next step.
I hope it wan't serious. I silently cried last evening when he said it can't be removed. I fear for my life.
Please pray for me.
Thank you so much.

Have they tested the tissue? It may not be malignant and you will be okay. I do hope that you will be fine. Take care and yes, I will pray for you

Thank you cynthiann. From what I understand, that was actually the original plan why he cut it, to get the lump and have it tested, he was mentioning about biopsy last night. But it happened that he can not remove the lump because he said it is attached to my spine so he advised me to return this evening.
Thank you so much for your prayers.

I really do not have an idea what kind of lump it is. From what I understand was the doctor will remove it to have it tested. Unfortunately, he said it is attached to my bone and he can't remove it. He gave me a request for CT Scan yesterday evening, and I called the hospital and was scheduled on Saturday morning. I hope I could get the result sooner so they could determine what kind of lump is it. Thank you for your kind words maurya83. I appreciate it so much.

Hi thank you for your concerns. Got the result Sunday afternoon, and I was suggested to see a surgeon/internal doctor. I hope to visit the surgeon tomorrow after work.
The result sited that I do not have any problems in my bone and other vital parts of my body and I am thankful for that. The impression states:
Subcutaneous soft tissue nodule at the level of the T4 spinous rocess with non-specific ct appearance, may be inflammatory, post-traumatic, or neoplastic in nature.
Clinical correlation is suggested.
I was able to talk to the doctor last Sunday, he said I should see a surgeon to look after my condition. I will see a surgeon tomorrow after work. I really hope it can be removed and that it is nothing to worry about.

Thank you, I was actually cut to remove the lump for biopsy. Unfortunaly, the doctor was not able to remove it so I am expecting to be cut again the soonest to remove it. Got my ct scan report last Sunday and I was suggested to meet a surgeon and ask for his opinion about it.

Hiii Paper-doll. How are you now? I think you should have taken second opinion before this surgery. How can the doctor say that it cant be removed? You should go to some experienced doctor. And dont worry think positive. Meditate daily. This will help you to control your thoughts. We all will pray for you. God is always there. Trust him and get well soon.

Thank you very much for you kind words. I am going to see a surgeon tomorrow to look after my condition. I already have my ct scan report and the doctor whom I was able to talk last Sunday told me that the surgeon will decide what to do with my lump. I asked if it is really true that my lump cannot be removed. He said that the previous cutting was done to remove the lump for biopsy. It was only done in the emergency room/out patient. But he said that this time, a surgeon will do the removal and it will be done inside the operating room. Thinking that they are going to cut me again makes me worry. But I know that with continues prayers, and with God's help, I will be fine.

You were cut only to find out that thing? My goodness! I thought we live in a high-tech world? Why was he not able to detect this beforehand? Four stitches on the back and hurting and what is more hurting is the fact that the main problem was not even resolved. Oh dear, I feel for you. But don't despair! God is good, I am sure you will be alright. Just pray and ask Him the grace to overcome the pain and that the lump could be removed by medication. I suggest you also research for probable holistic approach to get rid of the lump. em]happy[/em]

That was exactly what I was thinking last night after he told me he can not remove it. I cried because I was expecting that it will be removed so I was really cut for nothing. The lump is still on my back. Thank you for your concern, I am really hoping it can be removed by medication. I will follow your advice and will look for some approach to get rid of this lump. Thank you again. Have a good and safe day ahead.

my brother had a back lump and it was removed successfully. i think your doctor thought it was the usual "harmless" lumps like lipoma or sebaceous cysts that's why it was only done in the ER with you "aware" of what's going on.
your case reminds me of what happened to my former officemate years ago. she slipped while going downstairs at home but managed to grab the railing so she stopped midway instead of falling straight to the floor.
she had back pains afterwards and resorted to massages, then leveled up to chiropractic sessions which were expensive. finally an mri revealed osteosarcoma (if i remember correctly) so she underwent major surgery. (i don't remember anymore if she had physical therapy or ct scans in between chiro and mri, but what i understand is mris reveal more than ct scans, and they're more expensive.) so it seems like when her back hit the steps, the material inside the spine "spilled" out and this possibility was "overlooked" all the time or probably even made worse by all the other "treatments."
i understand how scary it is, especially if you're thinking it might affect the movement of your arms and legs. i hope you find a doctor specializing in spine injuries so this can be sorted out soon. do keep us posted, even if it's just to rant. it still helps.
