He might have go through it again, sooner or later! His doctor told him he has at least 4 more to past! We have a friend who paseed one like one a year ago and he has 6 or 8 more he hopes he never will have to pass! I never have had any kidney stones and hope I never do!

Kidney stones can be of any size too. Ouch! I had a friends years ago now that had been in the hospital for this. I went over to visit her after she got home and she had them in a jar right out in the living room. Bizarre!

I did not know kidney stones could come out in shapes like that and other shapes! Since this happen Chris finally got through his head to drink water and stop the ice tea and other drinks! Hopefully that help!

I had kidney stones and can honestly tell you that the pain was worse than having a baby by natural childbirth. I hope that I never have them again. But can't they know shatter the stones by laser or something

I was in so much pain that I handed my 6 month old son to a visitor who I barely knew and went into the bathroom and hit my head repeatedly against the tiles trying to knock myself out. The pain was awful. I did not know that it would still hurt to pass them out after they had been shattered. Dr.'s do liken the pain to childbirth. My gaynaecologist passed out a kidney stone whilst in a plane to Japan. He said it made him a better doctor after experiencing so much pain as he knew what women went through in childbirth. There were no epidurals at that time on the Island

If a person has alot of kidney stones that are on the move then they will laser them. If an older person can't pass a kidney stone on their own they will do the laser treatment. I know this happen to an older gentleman I know.
It would be so much easier if laser treatment was done on all kidney stones. Not sure why doctors don't do it all the time!

Yes I have heard that passing a kideny stone is like child birth! I have no idea why doctors don't make it easier on most people! I do know if you are having problems passing them you can get the stones lasered to pass them easier. I heard it is still painful! They will only do surgery if the person can't pass them becasue of old age. I know an 80 year man who had it done to get rid of his kidney stones.

My husband had kidney stones since he was 20. And until now, after 22 years, he still has them. There are times that he really complains of extreme pain. The doctor suggested that he should be operated on, but he refused. Every now and then small stones pass through with his urine. Also with this came his arthritis.

I know my friend Chris would go for surgery if his kidney stones would get worse! Passing kidney stones is like going through child birth for us women! I can't believe your husband puts up with the pain of kidney stones! HE sure can tolerate pain!

I really am not sure if my husband is just hard-headed or just too chicken to undergo surgery! He really has a lot of small stones as seen from the last ultrasound he had.

My husband gets kidney stones every few years. they are horribly painful. The first time it happened he was in he hospital for three days as they had to break it up so he could pass it. After that we learned that as soon as he feels the first sign of them he starts taking a shot of olive oil with lemon juice in it three times a day. The lemon juice breaks up he stone and the olive oil makes it easier to pass. It still hurts, but much less, and no more stays in the hospital. :)

I did this treatement for gall stones and passed literally hundreds. I used grapefrit juice with olive oil - just a bit more grapefruit juice than olive oil last thing at night. I stopped after I had an ultra sound as this showed that there were several very large stones and if they were to begin to pass out and got stuck in the bile duct then I would have been in serious trouble. I should do it again for three nights in a row and see if I pass out anything. Thanks for reminding me

Olive oil and lemon juice? Sounds interesting! I will bring it up with my male friends with the kidney stone problems! It can't hurt to try it!
My friend Chris found out that cranberry juice makes it worse! He is on a health kick and now no more cranberry juice since the doctor told him it makes things worse!

I have a kidney stone and I know exactly what you are talking about. Fortunately I've been able to manage the pain the last couple of weeks and it hasn't cost me any time off work. Not a lot of fun.

I have had kidney stones. It's terrible.
The ones I had last year showed up in a X-ray after my pain went away, so they didnt try to take them out.
My friend is a Nutritionist, and she told me that if I take magnesium, hydrangea, and one of the B vitamins (I forget which one so I take B complex) And those three things together, taken every day, should dissolve kidney stones in a few months.
I haven't had any problem since then, so I don't know if my stones dissolved or if they're still there.
I was told not to drink any tea because that causes kidney stones. So I only drink water now.
Your friend should drink lots and lots of water.

I have learned alot about kidney stones in the past few weeks! They come out in wierd shapes like a crown like my friend's looked like! Calcium deposits aren't the only reason for kidney stones! Drinking cranberry juice makes the problem worse! Most people who have passed kidney stones still might have to pass more in the future. Some kidney stones just move and never are problems again! Since this my friend stopped drinking cranberry juice! Is drinking mostly water now and praying he won't have to pass anymore! We will see!

Allopatic medicine are not the cure for kidney stones.
Just boil little bit of fennel seeds and bishop weed together in little water and then in same water make tea and have it as your bed tea or early morning tea. You and your friend will never have that problem again.
I had that problem once. I have started this formula and never had such problem again.
You may try it for few days and feel the difference, if it does not do any good then you can go to doctor.
Happy mylotting.

It must have been very painful, I hope he'll get through it. I know the feeling. I just had a minor operation last night where the doctor tried to remove a lump on my spine. I do not want to go through the same experience again, what more for those who have undergo major operations. So we really should take good care of ourselves and should always consider our health. Like they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

With my friedn Chris's kidney stones he is not sure what is causes it. I always thought they are calcuim deposits. Not all the time! Other things can I was told!
Chris had been on a health kick and was drinking cranberry juice. When he pasted the second stone the doctor told him the jiuce makes kidney stones worse! No more of that!
Hopefully Chris will not have to go through this for a very long time, again! I also hope I never have to deal with kidney stones!

It is really a kind of disease with terrible pains. Here we often use Traditional Chinese Medicine to treat it.
