Press Freedom? Yeah, right

If in case I cannot login again, then you will know why. I posted a few hours ago a news article about Sabah and how Ninoy Aquino agreed to give it up in exchange for political allies. Just a few minutes ago I wanted to check on the comments on the article, the page was unavailable. I tried Google, no response. I tried to use the Facebook post of my friend for the article, still page can't be found. And this is what the son of Cory Aquino claims as press freedom. This is what we get after EDSA. When the truth about the Aquino's come out, they start blocking it from the public. Shame, shame on our government.

Hi Anne, I have seen and replied to the discussion you have created and i tried to check it out again, i see that the link to the news philstar you have posted for us to check out, its still there and active. Please confirm? is there a new discussion you have created? I think the government of ours does not have anyone that would go through all of the discussions or news in the internet. hehe they do not have such resources, right? thank you!!!

I agree on your last sentence chiyosan. Maybe it's just a case of mistaken plagiarism, not suppression of the freedom of the press.

Your country did that? They keep a look out so fierce they saw your article and got rid of it?

That is a really scary thought. I hope it was just a mistake but if not that is awful. I would talk to the website owner to find out why it was deleted and perhaps they can help you. I am sorry that this happened to you.

this is what we can call over-reaction. we know that internet is as free as a bird, as they say. you can always think the way you want when things happen not to your liking. everyday we see commentaries and news that harshly criticize the government. the commentaries are still there and being circulated though social media. unlike other governments, this government still enjoys widespread support.

Hello anne25penn, but there is no exact future with the marcoses either because of the dictatorship and corruption between his cronies, but your right, the aquinos aren't that much of a saint either.there was a rumor too before about Noynoy being involved in the Car smuggling, then some how no one believed that person. another thing is that during 2010 they didn't want to have any single debate between noynoy and other candidates like gordon or gibo. don't stop and keep putting it in the net.
