I have bad handwriting and can only write for ten minutes at a time. You may have to change the handwriting from cursive to almost printing. It is not about being slower, it is about what your hand can manage. I was wondering whether you have a bad wrist and your hand gets tired or whether you have the beginning of carpel syndrome. That said, try curving it gradually instead of trying to copy.

That stinks. I have been trying to improve my handwriting, but after a while, my hand esp my wrist starts to ache. I was thinking of getting something to steady my wrist or lifting weights on my writing hand, but then it would make me lop sided.

You can improve your handwriting easily if you are ready to try to improve it.Write anything in a notebook or on a piece of paper slowly.Don't try to write at a fast speed.Try to write slowly so that your handwriting is legible.Do it regularly.Soon you will find your handwriting beautiful. It's just a habit and habits can be changed or replaced. My handwriting was also illegible.I improved it with the same practice. All you need is be regular.

Just write as often as you can. Try to imitate other people's handwriting. You can imitate the persons with the style of handwriting you like. Just write as frequently as you can.

Less typing and more hand writing. My handwriting has suffered greatly since I type so much now.

Well as you know handwriting makes an impression on the teacher it seems that although my answers are correct they sometimes misinterpret my spellings

. Practice makes perfect. Buy some books that you can copy that proper handwriting. There are also tracing booklets where you can trace the good handwriting as patterns. Though we give you suggestions its only your decision and willingness to practice that will make your handwriting legible.

I suggest do the same things as when you first learned to write. Do write that it is the first step. Use printing for an exercise and then slide into writing paying attention to how you form letters. All should connect. You may have taken short cuts along the way and they are habits that need to be broken and reformed. Pay attention to detail for a while until you make a new habit and then write slowly until you see improvement.
I suggest writing letters or a diary. Both are excellent reasons to write long hand in the first place.

Maybe it's going to be a silly advice, but look for those manuals and uploaded books on the Internet which are made for children who are just to learn how to write. Those manuals for writing of each letter are really easy to understand, and that way you can write in a way everyone understands it.
