I was so afraid to have someone at my front door at 11 pm last night.
My son had just closed cafe here.
It was the Perez family.
My homeless family I had helped at xmas time.
I was so surprised to see them.
I was also scared, something had happen.
But it was all good news.
They had come here to a church program at 9pm.
See the church also had helped them, with food sometimes.
And they said, they really wanted to see me.
They looked so good, all cleaned up.
I hugged all of them, even cried.
They gave me a few photos of their new home. I saw some of the furniture I gave them.
I know now the Perez family is a ok.

I would be scared too if someone came knocking at my door at that time. Oh that is such great news. Don't you feel so good about helping this family. There is nothing better in the world when you help others from the goodness of your heart. Good for you and I truly hope they have continous good fortune in their lives. When a family stays together and gets the help they need to get back on their feet its a wonderful thing to witness; and to know you had a part in helping them.

You get out what you put into something and you must have done something good. It was nice they took the time to go and see you again the Perez's. I am sure you are on their mind in order for them to think of you. You and the people at the church made friends and they are really valuable in this world.

that's very nice of you maria. Yeah, to see how youself became an instrument to change somebody, even a family for the good is one great achievement. There's so many people and families out there who need help and thank God that there are people who have a heart like you. Keep doing it (you may need over time though, like until 11PM, hahaha) and may He shower you with wonderful blessings!

So sorry they scared you but glad it was good news. I'm so happy they have a home now and are doing so well. You are a very nice kind hearted person to have helped them with everything you did. Not a lot of people would help the homeless ever.

It is not courteous to call at such a late at one's house. They could have come another day. It fact it is also unChristian-like to call at such a unearthly hour unless you are still awake. But nowadays with computer and internet we do not sleep so early. Once about 40 years ago two friends woke me up at 11:00 pm just to borrow my crash helmet as they wanted to go out for a late night snacks. I refused as they may return my helmet at the wee wee hours to wake me up from my slumber.

I know what you mean about it being pretty disconcerting when someone comes to call at your house at such a late hour. However, despite the fact that you had not been planning on seeing the Perez family at that time, I'm sure that their coming to see you was a great relief to you because you were able to see that they not only are doing well now, but they didn't take advantage of the generosity that they showed to you.
Them coming to let you know that they were doing well really is a sign of their integrity to me.

Except for the hour in which they knocked, I think it's great that they came back to you and thanked you personally. I think if everybody who's been helped in a way would go back to the people that helped them, they would be more inclined to help some more.
It's great that this is something that you could be proud of.

Hi maria.
How are you doing? Sorry for not being very regular on mylot recently. And I am sorry to say that it might continue to be so till May. I had been busy for the few weeks. It was tough managing time between studies and my girlfriend and other activities. Good to know that the Perez family is doing really good. I wish they prosper in life like they are doing now. So any other developments lately that I am not aware of ??
Have a nice day !!
