The new pope's name is Pope Francis and he is the first pope to have come from the Americas so I think that is something that really is exciting. The main thing that this leads me to wonder about is what kind of changes are going to come about in the Catholic community because of the election of this new and slightly younger pope. You see, Pope John Paul II made a lot of changes through Vatican II, Pope Benedict really didn't make any major changes and I do believe that there are changes that are going to be made in the near future.

By now you must know the name - Francis. I would have preferred a younger pope as 76 is far too old. What say?
