I miss the snow

We moved almost a year ago from a place that got a lot of snow during the winter to a place that rarely snows. We haven't had any snow at all this past winter and I actually miss it. I love the first snow fall where everything is all white and pretty, and I miss going out to play in it and building snow men and forts with my daughter.

In my country it doesn't snow that much, but it does snow... and most of the time, I'm not a fan, because this year it wasn't that beautiful white snow which stayed for days, and which was crunchy when you stepped on it. And I didn't have time to have fun in the snow or make snowmen. And I hate when it melts, and it gets all muddy, yuck!

I've never had the opportunity in my life to live in a place where we always get a lot of snow during the course of the winter. However, last year we had one of those winters where we really didn't have any snow at all (and in fact there were few days that the temperature was even below freezing) and I know that I really did feel the same way that you feel as far as missing the snow. There is something about a beautiful snowfall that brings out the child in each and every one of us.
