Teacher Drugs Pre-schoolers

A Morgan Hill (California) pre-school teacher has been arrested on child endangerment charges for putting Sominex (an over the counter sleeping aide) into liquids of children at Kiddie Academy. What was this woman thinking of? If she didn't want to take care of pre-school children, she should have quit being a pre-school teacher. Children at that age are going to be active and try one's patience, but you don't drug them! What the parent must be going through, to know that they trusted this woman to care for their children? This would be good enough reason to home school your child.

This teacher must be thinking that it would be her way of getting them in control. But obviously, she doesn't know anything on how deal with children. If she was having difficulties taking care of the children, she should have gotten an aide to help her with the kids.

wow! that is a trip. kids aren't even supposed to take sominex. that could have been really dangerous. i know she will be in jail for a bit.

I am glad the teacher was arrested, she deserved it! And I think it was horrible what she did to those kids. She could have seriously hurt them really bad. She should have just quit if she hated working with the kids that much... I don't understand things like this at all. It bothers me more, not only as a mother but I was a Preschool teacher for 3 years also and I loved it. Now I have a Childcare Business in my home and so it ticks me off more hearing this! I love kids so much, I hate things like this happening!
I am very glad I am Home Schooling my children... Things like this is why.

Completely unacceptable behaviour. What was she thinking? Pretty clear she was trying to find a way to make her job easier. Schools are pretty quick these days to get kids on Ritalin. Is that much different? Just saying...
