Why are all the bosses so bossy? If you are the boss it merely means that you have better experience or higher education(may or may not). But what is it so great about? Why can't a boss be more friendly?
My boss is definitely not a good boss. Everyone is unhappy with him. He is the typical bossy type. He will ask you to do everything, practically everything including swithcing on the computer and stuffs like that. I definitely hate this kind of bosses.I m sorry if i offended any of the bosses here, but as a boss, you must be wise. If you want all your subordinates to work happily for you, then you have to be in their shoe in the first place. Acting bossy definitely earn you no respect!

There's a reason why they are the bosses. It means they already earned the trust and respect of the company, coupled with years of experience and impressive performance. Because of these factors, bosses usually think highly of themselves because of the position they're in, thus making them feel superior above others.
But don't be afraid to correct your boss or make suggestions when asked to, especially when s/he's wrong. They're still human and capable of making mistakes. But you have to make sure you do it in a nice, respectful way.

The reason why a BOSS is a 'BOSS' be cause he posses a vast amount of talent and experience in the industry. Coping with 'BOOSY' BOSS is very important to improve your working relationship with him/her. A demanding BOSS may not necessarily be a bad person. They set high standards and force us to think 'beyond the box' and prove ourselves
A good way to improve your relationship is to have a 1-1 with your BOSS and express your areas of concern and also under his/her perspective

okay noted. I do have a lot of 1-1 times with him as i am a practical students and i am kinda like his PA. My boss is definitely is not bad person himself but the way he treats his subordinate is not so appreciated. He likes to order to do stuffs that is not related to our daily job such as going to the bank. Nevertheless he is my boss, i have to bare with it! =\

I understand BOSSes can be a hard character to get by sometimes, but you have to try seeing things from their perspective. A Boss practically runs the whole company, he/she generally has pressures beyond your imagination. So at times he doesn't want to worry about switching his computer on or other stuffs that are less important. Then again there are lazy workers and do deal with them you have to be Boss. Remember, there is a reason he/she is the boss and you are not.

Not all people are good and kind. there are those , especially bosses who make others' lives miserable while I would say, not a few are God-fearing and understanding. When you fall under the "command" of a bad boss, you have all the options to quit your job and find a new boss. We can do little about our bosses because most of them are made up of the same stuff. hehehe

You have a lousy person for a boss
I know because I've been a boss for several years
although you aren't going to find that everyone likes you
a boss can still "connect" to all your co workers
and a lot of bosses aren't willing to do that so they aren't good bosses---probably not a good person either
I agree a boss has to lead---but it's much better to set an example first
I never expect my coworkers to do Anything that I wouldn't be willing to do myself first!
Just hang in there---try to connect with your boss

I wish i could work for you! Yeah if were a boss i would do a good example as well. Thanks I will try to connect with my boss if one day he changes his mind and willing to accept my comments. Meanwhile i will equipped myself with better leading skills so that i will not be such a lousy boss in the future. Thanks for you concern anyway! =)

I have some pretty sorry bosses, so I know how you feel. I know bosses are supposed to tell you how to do you're job, and correct you when you make mistakes. But, I just dont think some bosses realize how demeaning and belittling they can be when talking to some employees. I have had bosses before, literally throw their pen down in front of me and customers, because I made a mistake before, that was easily corrected by the way and during my training period. But of course, they have to make a big deal out of something small. Other bosses that i have had, though, have been really nice, patient, understanding, and helpful. Every one's personality is different though, and it takes all kinds I guess.
I also do not understand why some supervisors and bosses want to correct and talk down to employees right in front of customers, as if embarassing the new employee to no end will help them understand their job that much faster. It doesn't work that way. I think bosses and supervisors should talk to an employee and take them to the side or in another room, if they need to talk to them, and give them advice on how to improve their work performance, or correct them on any problem they might have been having during the day. I think respect goes a long way.

Not all boss are bossy. I know some people who own a company but very friendly and wise to their employee. Boss is also a human and every human is different. I think it's depend on what the boss need in his/her life from their employee. Some boss need respect, some need to be feared, dominant on controlling.

Because he is a boss and before you want your boss to be the one who you want him to be, think of yourself first if you are the staff your boss want you to be.
There are reasons that he can be your boss, if you were a boss one day, probably you would act the way his is doing now
