I have always lived within 30 minutes of my parents. I don't know if I could move away from them :( My husband wants to move across the country where I will be far from them.

I am happy that you alwalys lived so close with your parents. Then you can take care of each other. It is lucky for you. I think if there isn't any reason you must be far away from them, then you can choose to live close to them, right?

I am happy I have had the time with them as well. I talk to my mom at least once or twice a week and see them as often as possible. Right now they are 30 minutes away and I feel better being close to them in case they need me. I'm glad you had the time with your mother, it's always great to spend time with mothers :D

Hello there Erika, i am curious, why does your husband wants you to live far from your parents? I would not agree to my husband if there is no valid reason for us to move. If he wants to movie just so we can be far from my parents, then i would not take that reason. I always have lived with my family and being far from them is like taking away the relationship we have built together over the years. I know that i always go to my mom when i need someone to be with me, and so if i have to see them i'd have to travel far. I think i would have really fought over this with my husband.

My husband wants to move closer to his mom and to the city where he went to school. I love the city as well and think I would love living there too, but I get sad knowing my parents will be far away.

Hi Erika I hope that you are fine. You had been blessed living near of your parents. Mine, they are divorced since a week before I got married. It all depends on you and your husband work. I hope you can cope with this. Good luck. Blessings Erika... dainy

I think living close to your parents is wonderful. So many people are forced to be far apart whether for jobs or other reasons. Maybe you could have your parents move too? That would be an great solution

I have lived away from my parent since I was 3 years old. My aunty took me to live with her till my age of 11 and then when I was 18 I leave my parent for study in university and after finish my degree I move to another city and find my 1st job and it's about 3 hours flight from home plus 8 hours by bus. No I am living in new city, still far from my family and may be next year I will move with my boyfriend to his country for marriage. Thank God they found something called Phone, skype , and internet that it makes communication never stop.

Def the phone, skype, and the internet make our world much smaller. I'm glad the technology is around, now I just have to show them how it works :D

It is so nice to live near parents, I wish that for myself. I live far from my family, as I live in my husband's country so I do not have chance to visit my family that much. my husband can not live without his family and country. but I think for ladies is more difficult to live far from parents. as we always need our parents attention specially after marriage.
